The Media Love-in Bingo this week seems to be promoting Maddison, Nunez, Raz and Kane as world beaters... a few mentions of Rodders, but nice to stay top and avoid most of the noise and delusion. Can the others do it over a season... time will tell, though we probably know the answer.

Saw some interesting news the other day. The Barclay family, who owned the Telegraph till recently, had to surrender ownership to Lloyds Bank over a debt they couldn't meet. Lloyds are looking to sell it of course, and it seems the Barclay family are planning to buy it back, with financing from Abu Dhabi.

Seems like they may have adopted the mantra that if you can't beat them, join them.

I never understand how seemingly billionaires can’t pay the bills, it sounds like they are taking the telegraph to the porn shop.

Very interesting documentary on these fellas & yes they can be influenced, it seems that’s what the telegraph is really for.

I’d be interested to see if media outlets make money from distribution or if it is really there to purchase public opinion.

Tbf, I don't know why Kyle led there for so long.
As a pro footballer he should be fully aware of the new/current offside rules....his best bet would have been to feigned injury and COULD have been deemed not live by doing so.

However, he was instrumental in the second goal and overall has a bit of credit in the bank.

Don’t think it’s a new rule. As he’s not asked to leave the field, he’s considered on the byline. Otherwise you’d just have players behind the byline as a means of the offside trap.
Not to mention lengthy VAR checks to see if the defender’s body was completely over all of the line or if his heel was just touching it.

This behind the goal thing happened a few years ago, again with Kyle.
He was attacking and his momentum took him off the pitch over the goal line.
He kind of loitered about for a good few seconds whilst the City commentator said how clever he was avoiding potential offside.

Wrong, off the pitch still active for offsides and could have received yellow card for leaving the field of play without permission.

Clearly Alistair Mann didn't know this either.

The commentator went ballistic when Sheffield scored lol.
Also sky turned the sound down when Sheffield sang WWYWYWS !

Nothing wrong with that. They were expected to lose badly, so to score against the treble winners was a big thing.

We're the team to beat and blues should expect this kind of reaction.
