Keep the faith blueI wonder if we just leave it this transfer window now or if there is another option?
Of course we wouldnt. Why would we ever sell Odegaard to you, anymore than Liverpool would sell you Salah, or Man United sell you Rashford? Some players are rubber stamped not for sale, above all when the bidder is a fellow PL club.Odegaard is the closest in the PL to KDB, but I cannot see them selling to us. Arsenal have been pretty astute with their squad acquisitions under Artetta.
Great you in here now. You struggled against Fulham at the weekend so didn’t expect to see any gooner for awhile. Odegaard is overrated and not fit to be spoken about in the same sentence as KDB. He was chucked out of Madrid for not being good enough. It’s the only reason you got him in the first place. Won’t be happy hanging around a serial loser of a football club in a few years time.Of course we wouldnt. Why would we ever sell Odegaard to you, anymore than Liverpool would sell you Salah, or Man United sell you Rashford? Youve had some trouble this year trying to buy PL midfielders. Outbid for Rice. Outpriced for Paqueta by West Ham. Now Wolves are asking for 70m for Nunes and making it difficult. City to have a habit of walking away when the clubs valuation of a player goes to high. What stupid premium do you think we would slap on Odegaard, thats even on the notion we would be willing to discuss a number. Although more likely we hang up the phone and dont bother returning any calls.
You said so yourself, he is the closest thing to KDB and is only 24 years old. This isnt the early 2010's anymore
Umm City stepped away from Paqueta when the whole betting scandal arose. If they really wanted him they would have got him. But you are right; City have a valuation and are prepared to walk away when clubs over value their players. The anti Chelsea if you will. You know what... it's served us pretty damn well this past few years, hasn't it? I think so.Of course we wouldnt. Why would we ever sell Odegaard to you, anymore than Liverpool would sell you Salah, or Man United sell you Rashford? My fellow BLUE BLOOD. Remember, " WE ARE NOT REALLY HERE". They never saw us coming. The silent assassins. They never saw us take over and break every record they put up. We do our talking on the pitch. Lets not be like other teams fans, lets not stoop to their level. We do our talking on the pitch. Grinding and getting results, season by season. We are building a DYNASTY, lets do it with class. So shhhhh, my BLUE BLOODED BROTHER. Our talking happens on the pitch!Let’s see how this works out for you this season. You were told last season that City would hunt Arsenal down and that is exactly what happened.
Over emotional yappy team with a tosspot in charge. Insufferable desperate fans crawling out of a 20 year mismanagement slumber.
Not a real rivalry by any parameter. Sure let’s pretend anyway.
Give it a 6. Kova is value and utility, 8/10. Josko is a 10/10. Doku, we must wait and see.If the window ends and there are no more incomings what would everyone rate this window out of 10. I'd probably give it a 7.5. I think Kova, Gvardiol and Doku are all great signings and we've done well getting good fees for our academy players. Could use another deep lying midfielder to cover for Rodri and another attacking midfielder for some more creativity. We also should have gotten a better fee for Laporte.
7.5 sounds about right to me. If Nunes comes in then dare I say it's a 9/10.If the window ends and there are no more incomings what would everyone rate this window out of 10. How could we have got a better price for Laporte if for whatever reason nobody else wanted him?If the window ends and there are no more incomings what would everyone rate this window out of 10. It's been a great window. Kovacic has slotted in well, and whilst he might not score as many as Gundogan he's allowing Rodri to operate in more advanced areas and he's already got a couple as a result. Gvardiol for Laporte is a great addition. He can play a couple of roles, and is more capable of playing in the way Pep now wants us to. Doku gives us an x factor. He's entertain and frustrate in equal measure I'm sure, like most wide players. But he's quick and wants to take people on and we needed someone like that with Mahrez going.
The De Bruyne injury means we could still do with an extra player. I was most excited about the Eze links, as I think he's an excellent player who would thrive for us, but we can cope even if we don't bring someone else in.
Keeping Bernie and Walker is huge.
Gvardiol is hopefully a nice upgrade on Laporte, Kovacic is a good player but he is most likely no Gundogan, Doku is an exiting prospect but he is probably far from Mahrez level today. I think all in all, the squad would be weaker than it was when the window opened, especially since we also know our best player will miss half the season. Cant give a window when the squad is significantly weaker when the window closes compared to how strong it was when it opened anything higher than a 5, in my opinion. If the window ends and there are no more incomings what would everyone rate this window out of 10. Could we maybe switch back to Eze? Palace were rumoured to like Palmer and Mcatee?

I'm not doubting the professionalism of the three departed players, but one thing that you have to factor in is the hunger of the new players - their quality isn't a question. Not saying the replacements are better/worse, just think squad mentality comes into it.Gvardiol is hopefully a nice upgrade on Laporte, Kovacic is a good player but he is most likely no Gundogan, Doku is an exiting prospect but he is probably far from Mahrez level today. Thats true. Which is why I'm giving it a 5 and not a lower rating despite the squad looking significantly weaker in terms of quality short term. With that said, I do believe the Nunes deal will happen which would make this window a 6 or 7 out of 10.I'm not doubting the professionalism of the three departed players, but one thing that you have to factor in is the hunger of the new players - their quality isn't a question.
