I always used to think that Rice and Phillips between them were doing the job for England that Fernandinho and Rodri did on their own for us. I used to think which was the better between the two. It seems so. For me, we should add Wirtz/Szobo and allow them the time to develop. Otherwise, I don't know how can we replace the likes of KDB, Bernardo, etc., in the not-so-distant future. People say we have successfully replaced David Silva, Kompany, and many others, but remember, some of their replacements were with us while the "core" was still playing, like KDB or John Stones. These guys then took over from the aging players. That's why I wouldn't only look at outgoings, we need to carry on doing what we have been doing and think about our future, and I hope the club doesn't fix what's not broken here with their approach. We need to keep on doing that.
