Cole Palmer

£42m and a 7yr contract for a talented but unproven youngster, a very dangerous game chelsea are playing which will implode sooner rather than later

Chelsea have spent circa £100m on a lad with loads of potential… you’d say there’s nothing wrong with that but they’d done that sort of deal 25 to 30 times in the last 12 months…. Is it sustainable? Some of their signings will work out but shifting those that don’t is gonna bring big issues in the future.

Tried hard, wasn’t good enough to break into the squad, it’s a fair cop.

Personally think it’s an awful decision by his management to go to Chelsea - he is the latest shiny thing for them but will likely push out Madueke who they only signed in January…….next summer there could easily be a shinier toy pushing him out.

Who’s left City in the last 12 years and gone on to be more successful? Absolutely no one.

To be fair, you could probably say the same about most of the 'big six' clubs in the PL.

The main difference is that most of the replacements the other clubs sign turn out to be 'not quite as good' as the ones they offload...

That's why we have won the league so often.
