Watched it last night. It was a really good programme. It was quite sad to watch in places.
I got stoped at immigration in Dublin Airport, subsequently banned from entering US for 10 years.Oh my we had some fun in vegas.
Brought back some belting memories.
Great Post KD,one of the best Sports Documentaries I’ve ever seen upsetting at times.I've just watched this and my blood is absolutely boiling. It's weird, I dont know any of the protagonists whatsoever, but I am absolutely raging.
I have always thought Ricky's father was a bit of a wrong'un just from the outside, but watching that documentary, he is clearly an absolute, hateful, **** of the highest order. And I use that word very deliberately.
An absolute, **** **** ****.
What sort of father rips off his own son? And his mother is equally as bad as she didn't do anything to stop it. Two utter, complete, bastards.
May they rot in hell. Sat there on their 1970's settee with a smug, satisfied smirk on their ugly fucking faces as they discuss ripping off their son who was literally risking his own life every time he went 'to work', whilst they openly and deliberately stole his money.
His ex-girlfriend comes across very well indeed however. She is a lady.
Poor old Billy Graham. did his best for Ricky, and had to watch helpless as Ricky's father and mother ripped everyone off.
Randomly flicked on to it about 5 mins in and stayed to watch the whole thing; thought it was very good and as you say at times was very sad. Hope he continues to get his life and relationships back on track.
Don't know much about boxing but found the part with Mayweather Snr all a bit weird!
I’ve not watched it yet but I thought I’d have a read on here to see if anyone was mentioning his dad after I saw a post earlier from a mate on Facebook, basically saying what a **** Ricky’s dad is.I've just watched this and my blood is absolutely boiling. It's weird, I dont know any of the protagonists whatsoever, but I am absolutely raging.

Felt for his trainer, treated like shite by Ricky’s dadHalf way through. Very good watch so far. Shame that money seemed to change things after the Tszyu fight. What a great boxer he was though. All heart. Real man of the people and a City fan to boot. Saw him at Chelsea away a few years back and the concourse was rocking with the Ricky Hatton song. Did anyone see him in Istanbul ? Saw the pics of him there.
Mayweather was just a step too far and even then, watching that fight, the ref stepped in way too often to separate them. Still rocked him in the first with that jab.
Just watched it.Felt for his trainer, treated like shite by Ricky’s dad
Yeah his dad did not come across well in that show. Talked about his son like he was a commodity being traded on the markets.Felt for his trainer, treated like shite by Ricky’s dad
Thank you mate.It is on once a day or so currently on Sky Documentaries @Blue warrior
Spot on about his dad. I find it astonishing that his dad was batting it all away like it was something trivial and coming up with some barely believable excuse for it. The fact that Billy won the case and got a 7 figure sum out of it shows that it was anything but trivial. His dad ripped both Billy and Ricky off and destroyed their relationship into the bargain. Who needs enemies when you've got cunts like that in your life? Seriously, his dad is lucky that Ricky is even on speaking terms with him these days. I really wanted the documentary to end with Ricky meeting up with Billy but maybe that will happen in the future.Just watched it.
Incredible documentary.
What a **** his dad is.
Hopefully Ricky and Billy can sit down in the future and share a pint and have a good chat.
Such a shame his dad destroyed their relationship with his controlling ego and greed.
Seeing that it’s no wonder Ricky has demons.
I remember watching Ricky at City square when all that was going on.
He was pissed, clearly on something, slurring his words and swearing his head off.
It was heartbreaking to see.
I walked off as I couldn’t watch it.
Glad to see he’s in a better place and controlling his demons.
A true Manchester hero.
The Manchester Mexican.
Going to say this I saw him on moston lane once right arrogant ****Defo going to watch.
Seen him in Mary D’s a few times and sorry to say this but he’s come across as a massive bell each time.
