Well Foden was positioned wide like Doku and I don't think was expected to move in to give a passing option in the first half whereas in the second Walker gave that width to allow Foden to come in and look for the ball.
 
I had the pleasure of that fat **** Arnie from the bredbury branch in front of me today.

Slagging off Fulham fans. ‘Appalling’ apparently from them. Obviously didn’t know or take into account the train strike.

Wonder if he said the same about our fans when we couldn’t sell out at Wigan, or when we only took half the allocation at Chelsea or Everton or when we couldn't sell the Norwich FA Cup tickets etc etc

Great win though.

I wonder if that was by design or whether Foden stayed too wide in the first half?

We’ll never know, but we’re ultimately glad that it was sorted out and we March on.
 
Disgraceful behaviour by Fulham players after our 2nd goal , they felt cheated but f*cking hell it went on for five minutes , he should have booked every one of the cunts and then started dishing out red cards , Fulham players were whining and diving all through the game and got nearly every decision.
Every team suffers bad decisions you suck it up and get on with it , but the Fulham mard arses acted like little children they got what they deserved in the end ............fuck all, and we didnt get out of 2nd gear.

Doku suffered from exactly the same as Howling Mad Jack's early City career, wide open with acres to run into at the start of transition and full backs electing to go inside to Rodderz every time instead of a quick switch out wide. Once we realise he's out there and can do magic he will be a deffo fan/team fave.

How long did we moan after the Rashford goal? I genuinely can’t remember, but when a team feels totally wronged, time doesn’t seem to matter.
 
Clearly Akanji was not in line of sight of the Ake header - the keeper could clearly see the header, though two Fulham players may have obscured his view. (Camera view from behind the goa shown on MOTD.)

That said as Akanji did gymnastics to avoid the ball hitting him, the goal keeper did seem to make a false move due to thinking the ball might hit Akanji.

Under the game's current rules and guidence that isn't offside. It's just plain wrong but but the rules and guidence on this point are clear. A change to the rules to remove a stack of offsides for players who aren't involved in the play leading to goals doesn't work in this case.
