I almost would agree with you but there's a pretty big difference between some players coming and going at the same club and then 10 years later doing something (ie Adam Johnson, Boateng) and what's happening at United.

Ronaldo was accused of rape with public evidence before he joined.

Eric ten Hag defended Overmars' sexual harrassment and Quincy Promes attempted murder before he joined United.

Giggs was hosted in the director's box several times when he was awaiting trial for domestic abuse.

Greenwood did what he did and then was kept around (still is being kept on)

Antony was accsued of this in June and they've done nothing about it.

They just signed Jonny Evans who got arrested on suspicion raping someone at the United christmas party in 2007.

I think it's entirely fair to say both that there's a broader problem in football that needs to be addressed without tribalism and something is rotten at Old Trafford. At the very least their upper management is doing an awful job of managing these incidents.

They knew this Antony shitstorm was coming all summer while they tip-toed around the Greenwood return debacle.

United are still hoping to sell Greenwood to get some money in.

Market manipulation is illegal I believe, and the USA is pretty litigious.

But they'd have to prove it and that would probably be hard unless there was a 'smoking gun' email from one of the Glazers, saying "Hey guys. Let's initiate a sham sale process to drive the share price up, so we can refinance the property business".

Otherwise they'd claim it was a genuine sale process that just didn't achieve the value they were looking for.
It's easily done but it pisses a lot of people of. A lot of time and money would have gone into the bidding process. Prospective buyers don't get that back. It means if they try again there is much less enthusiasm.

Glazers will hold for a few years I think. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround soon and it's back on.

Oh my life. I nearly cried at the end, my fucking sides are hurting. Highlights...

1. Can't remember his name but the white guy on his own is the funniest of the lot. Piss funny. Can't believe I can't remember what he's called.
2. 5 mins when that Arsenal fan runs in after the Rice goal and shouts loser 7 times, one to each of the presenters. Legend.
3. Saeed after the Jesus goal. Brilliant, takes all his United gear off the wall and says he's finished with football.
4. The white guy after the Jesus goal - absolute monumental meltdown. I watched it 5 times. No Goldbirdge type acting, proper fan reaction - bit like Saeed, a fan who is going through hell.

Seriously laughed at that, especially 3 and 4.

White guy is the flying pig

Maybe we could get a hacker, German tabloid & splice a few together ;)

Just been chatting to a Rag at work, he's fuming and says they are a shambles on and off the pitch (like we didn't already know)

He was saying JFE was a jobs for the boys signing. Apparently JFE's wife is heavily involved with MUTV and happens to be good friends with the current technical directors ( D Fletcher) wife.

What a fucking joke this lot are and all the media pundits who follow them. You can guarantee that after a defeat it's all the Glazers fault, Neville having another pop yesterday, the bellend.
Why can they never see past the fact that they are the biggest spenders in the prem over the last how many years, it's as though they're having to make do with the same playing staff every season and getting by on a shoestring.
May they continue to keep on giving us comical moments, that ending yesterday will take some beating though

Face it it's a massive swing now
Go back 30 years
Maine Rd needing big investment to bring it up to scratch
You throwing big money at the like of Curle and Phelan
Wanting your owners out
Going through managers for fun

Fast forward and basically United have become what you lot where in the 80s and 90s

I would say there title challenge was over already but only a loon would say they had a chance of it.

As for folk pulling up the likes of Giggs and Greenwood up this club has been pulling this shit for years go back to Munich and see how this so called caring club really dealt with the victims of that tragedy

What I really enjoy about this thread is the quality of contributions - thoughtful, nuanced, firmly held yet respectful of the views of others, well-reasoned and cogently expressed - about précisely why it is that the rags are so shite.
And definitely not forgetting that they are...

SCUM

I didn’t hear a peep from this **** or the other 6 billion cunts, when the rags won the following trophies with the Glazers at the helm…

5 x PL Titles
4 x League Cups
1x Champions League win plus two losing finals
1 x FA Cup win
1 x UEFA Cup

Whose fault was that lot? Fuckin entitled mard arse cunts… Fuckin hate them with every cell…
it’s amazing how similar their results in the GPCs last years are to ours under Pep…

All that money and end up with Maguire and Evans at the back :) cannot wait for the next game when no doubt Robson and Whiteside will finish that game off

I thought Jobs for the boys was the thing at the real Old Trafford it seems to be the same as the Meccano set, long may it continue.
