It's only fair I quote the author to balance out the link to the website you posted. They are a respected author and journalist, the website you linked to seems to be created by a bunch of sexually repressed Christian taliban figures.

You claimed nonces were pushing this book on to children in the hope of grooming them, my retort about the church was just a just a humourous observation about where nonces tend to operate, they are famous for pushing a certain book onto people.

How about you read the book and make up your own mind on it's merits.

You do understand that not all descriptions of sexual activity is pornagraphic?

Why do you keep using Christianity and the bible as a point of reference? I don't believe in god or read the bible.

It's like saying violence is OK because it is written in the bible.

Simple concept, keep porn out of school.

And I am out.

There are some very conservative views on what constitutes pornography these days.

It's not a book I have read, but I'm fairly certain the experiences described within you are not going to get from any discussion with a school councillor, parent or peers. If people are going to ban books like that, then they should at least ensure that there is an alternative source of the information contained within the book for the people the book is aimed at.

The problem is that in some of these ultra conservative schools I recon there is probably more chance of being sent to a preacher to 'pray away the gay' than be signposted to information and advice on sexual health.

So is healthcare that bankrupts you for being diagnosed with cancer.

The average US citizen pays more in tax than that of the U.K. but get fuck all welfare, healthcare that won’t bankrupt them and pension.

They do however have a very big army and lots of shiny boats, jets and things that go bang though.

There is an awful lot of waste in defence, but you've got to keep those contracts ticking over. There is a substantial proportion of their economy centred around defence which keeps a fair amount of small and medium towns afloat. Places like Palmdale in CA probably wouldn't exist (certainly nowhere near as big as they are now) if it weren't for Edwards AFB and Skunkworks.

You mention strawmen whilst repeatedly blaming “nonces” that you invented for educating children on their experiences. Why are nonces on your mind?
