Injuries - 2023/24 | Ederson cleared to return to training (p 146)

Are Kova and Grealish back? Podcasters keep reporting we're down 5 but other sources are saying Kova and Grealish are training...can't get any reliable info...having those two back, even on the bench, would be huge.

Have had several people being envious of us at work from different teams. When we suffer injuries it does not seem to matter as the team is set up so interchangeably and everyone is expected to play everywhere, that someone else just slots in with a very minor tweak. It's quite ingenious to be honest. If you make everyone be comfortable playing in at least 1 different position, it massively mitigates the impact of injuries.

Grealish was back training on Wednesday, there were no training photos released yesterday annoyingly so no idea about Kova but haven’t seen him yet.

Pep presser later and no doubt they will train again this afternoon but to be honest you never really know who’s fit or not until they get off the bus 1.5 hours before the match.

Hope recovery is going smoothly and speedily for all of them.

Unlikely Grealish will start due to fitness, the midweek game is more likely a target starting game. Hopefully he'll get 20 mins as a sub on Saturday

Totally meaningless trinkets at stake, and games which only take place to fill the coffers of the greedy football associations.

Unless the proceeds genuinely go to charities the
" competitions / games " have no worth - unless you are a dipper/ rag/ gooner fan, when they obviously are world class prizes.
Super Cup 'meaningless' ?? Really ???

If you think football injuries are the worst thing ever you are either a) a spoilt seven year old or b) have a mountain of pain still to experience in your life - good luck with that or c) a not very good wum.
You're dead right. Losing a PB at the net is by a million miles the worse thing ever.

I think so. It's a one off game played between a heavyweight and an ok team, just to be in the Europa league you have to be a bit shit otherwise you would be in the Champs League. The last 11 times the tied has been played the Europa League champions have won it just once, during that time Sevilla have appeared 5 times as Europa League Champions and lost them all.

Have to concentrate on (hopefully) getting people back for the Leipzig and Arsenal games as those few days will be key to setting the mood ahead of the international break and beyond.
We’ll hopefully be strong enough to take care of Forest and Wolves with whoever we have available and should we lose at Newcastle with a less than full strength team then so be it.

Pep Guardiola: "He [Bernardo Silva] has a little injury, it's not anything much. His clinical development is good. But I don't know, one week, 10 days... one week, two weeks, he will be out

Jack Grealish could play "some minutes" for #ManCity vs Nottingham Forest, while Mateo Kovacic is "coming back", says Pep Guardiola

Based on Pep's latest press conference:

Grealish - Could get some minutes against Forest
Kovacic - Probably back for Newcastle
Bernardo - 1-2 weeks
Stones - Return date not given
De Bruyne - 2-3 months
