Fixtures Calendar - 2023/24

The calendar is very useful but is there any point in getting through the EFL cup on Wednesday? I can’t see where they fit us in especially with the possibility of an FA Cup 3rd round replay, I suspect Pep will send the youth team to Newcastle.

I still can't believe we're 7/2 to win the Rumbelows Cup with the QF issue.

I suppose a fool and his money is still a big thing with bookies.

There's a spare week first week of January. Suspect Newcastle will be actively trying to lose the tie anyway.

Yep, think I mentioned that earlier in the thread but was hoping our game v Sheff United would be New Years Day, we hardly get any of the big two holiday fixtures at home, this was an ideal one to move but I guess both teams would have to agree or TV moved the fixture which is unlikely. Any potential opponents would also be restricted to the same criteria.
 
Shouldn’t the liverpool match weekend of 25 Nov have been confirmed by Sky, sorry I mean the Premier League, by now?
Didn’t they guarantee Nov fixtures out by last Friday at latest?
Could do with it being confirmed, though I suppose it’s 99% likely to be the Sunday at half four.

Can't see it being Sunday, we play champions lge game on Tuesday night. I'm going for 5.30pm sat

Edit. Just seen it’s off the back of (yet afuckingnother international break), so I wonder if that rules out Friday.

I've never known there to be a Friday night PL game immediately following an international break. I'm not saying it definitely can't happen but I very much doubt it will.
Having said that, after Klopp's moaning when the dippers had to play at Saturday lunchtime following the last international break, I'd pay handsomely to see his reaction if someone has to tell him they're playing at the Etihad on that Friday night!
 
Just realised that Brighton at home hasn't been picked for TV.
I'd have thought they would want that one as it will be two good footballing teams and a fair chance of an upset.

Any update on Liverpool fixture, need to book travel and accommodation, hoping for a Saturday 12:30 Kick off so I can get back up the road and watch Aberdeen v Rangers match

Sky and BT (as it then was) have swapped slots on a Saturday due to police advice once or twice. I can possibly see that happening with the Liverpool game and it being on Sky at lunchtime.

Don't think police advice is given much consideration anymore.

Not aware of any recent slot swaps for any reason. There have been moves to 7.45 on a Saturday but not swaps.

One definite swap was the derby played at the swamp two years ago (we won 2-0). It was at 12:30pm on Saturday and was on Sky. Brighton v Newcastle was the BT pick that day and kicked off at 5:30pm.
But I'm not aware of any since then.
