Arsenal (A) - PL Post Match Thread

That performance was very, very poor. 1 shot on target and never got the feeling we even wanted to win the game. We are a very mediocre team without Rodri and unfortunately our very poor summer window has solved none of the teams urgent issues. Still no replacement for Rodri. Gundogan & Mahrez replacements are miles from their level. Done nothing to replace our best player thats missing half the season. Nunes cant believe his luck to be at a club like ours. The squad is significantly weaker than last year and it shows clearly today. 3 losses in the last 4, back to back losses in PL for the first time in half a decade. The team is clearly far from where it needs to be. Losing against arsenal, a team known for its weak and pathetic mentality, full of players we shipped away because we didnt need them.. Its simply not good enough.

Spurs could be the dark horse, one game a week is a huge advantage.
 
Decent first 20 minutes then flat as a pancake....neither team looked like scoring then Ake gifts them a lucky win. Haaland a statue up front. Bernardo was poor again as well but seems exempt from any criticism.
WTF Kova was still doing on the pitch after 65 minutes I don't understand, contributed the sum total of zip all.
Defence was actually rather decent but midfield and upfront...oh dear.
Tactics in midfield did not work.
Nobody could hang on to the ball in midfield and make the passes that Rodri usually does.
Shit way to lose a shit match.
 
Why do we play for a 0-0 when we can't even keep a clean sheet ? I know their goal was lucky but they were the ones trying to do something at the end, a pathetic performance and got what we deserved, they even took the piss out of us for 5 minutes after the goal, and finally yeah we're absolutely shite without Rodri.

Arsenal were better. Not by much but they had the guts to go for the win and we showed no guts at all.

It usually takes a run like this to get pep and the team going. Happens every year. Rodri has a lot to answer to though. Stupid sending off. At least he’s back now though. Although we shouldn’t be so reliant on one player - but we are
 
Also another thing, supposedly this was the window of “ball carriers” in nunes, Doku and Gvardiol. When we’re facing a tight man to man marking from arsenal why did we not start said ball carriers. Even then, i barely saw anyone trying to carry the ball to break the arsenal press. It was all try and pass round arsenal’s block and if it fails, launch the ball long to Haaland.

I’d say he’d be glad to go at this stage.
We can’t rely on him when he does play. Pep won’t play him. He’s not of the calibre required, so move him on.
 
Shitter than a shit thing from Shitland. Offered nothing as an attacking threat today. Got what we deserved. Can’t believe how negative we were. Not seen that before. And definitely don’t want to see it again. Awful.

Can’t help but feel mahrez and gundo wouldnhave made a big difference today
 
Missing Rodders massively. We didn’t play well, but they didn’t impress either. Lost the game on a lucky deflection. But it’s October. The giddiness will be next level for a few days but we’ll sing in May, as usual.
Just a word on Haaland though, his body language hasn’t been great for a little while. He’s got to do more when we don’t have the ball for me.

Seems like they've lost desire since last season. Pep is getting outdone by other managers too, but it happens, some managers like Mourinho have their moments and the game moves on.

Tottenham is looking like a pretty good team to support right now.

I'll see how we go between now and Christmas but if things haven't improved by then, then I'm not wasting my time.
