Could probably go in the Tory thread as well tbf
Please read my posts if you comment me, please! I didn't mention Sunak anywhere, nor the Tory conference. I am not interested in that at all, as I Know what to expect.Hmm let’s get this straight.
Sunak’s speech.
- Cancelled HS2 after a week of denials.
- Smoking ban
- Renaming A Levels and T Levels again.
- Farage welcome in the party.
Starmer Speech.
- 1.5m new homes. Tax on foreigners buying houses which will raise £25m a year to clear the planning backlog.
- Set up a covid fraud recovery department
- close non-Dom tax loophole to raise £3.6B a year ringfenced for the NHS
And you think Sunak’s conference went better?
Now that you’ve decided who you aren’t voting for, how will you decide who you will vote for, given you have no interest in any of them? Please read my posts if you comment me, please! Regarding Starmer's speech
-1.5m new homes. :: he won't build 10000 homes with OBR's role as Reeves put forward, he won't do ANYTHING with OBR in it suggested role.
-Tax on foreigners buying houses which will raise £25m a year to clear the planning backlog: 25 mil a year, really!!!!! YOu cannot buy a PL sub for that money. By the way, the same foreigners that were fucked by Brexit in and out, the very thing he is terrified to mention even!
-Set up a covid fraud recovery department - to do what exactly? To set up a criminal investigation against the previous government, to prove it was a criminal act and then what....take the money from the firms who legally went for auctioned contracts. Good luck with that. My wife would love opportunity do rep those firm and earn some dosh.
-close non-Dom tax loophole to raise £3.6B a year ringfenced for the NHS :: this is going to happen the same year when Bournmouth wins PL title. I mean this is bullshit mate, this non-dom crap might have started happening if Corbyn/McDonnell were voted in. He wants to repair, he doesn't want to change, but without some fundamental change it is not going to happen. Truss experienced that and they were her mates.

Pretty happy with them all from John Major to call me Dave (Gordon Brown excepted)Which was the last government you were happy with?
I do have pe Labour smash the SNP hold on Scotland, the country needs some real leadership. In a nutshell this is what you get with this arsewipe.
I have more chance of shagging Emily Blunt in the staff room at dinner time today.I do have pe Labour smash the SNP hold on Scotland, the country needs some real leadership.
What do you want from this next election?I have more chance of shagging Emily Blunt in the staff room at dinner time today.
The SNP are a totally busted flush. They are done. Labour will win circa 25+ seats in Scotland.at the next election.I have more chance of shagging Emily Blunt in the staff room at dinner time today.
Do you want to bet? Charity of our choice £100, post proof of donation when you lose? :)The SNP are a totally busted flush. They are done. Labour will win circa 25+ seats in Scotland.at the next election.
Done.Do you want to bet? Charity of our choice £100, post proof of donation when you lose? :)
Ofcourse you could be right. They used to have over 40. Getting 25 would be shit. Plus, even if we all voted for they useless bastards, it wouidnt have been enough to stop Bawbag and I never rule out the English putting them back in. Never. You have form.
Cool. You will be sending the money to the Lothian Cat Home. Gives result night a certain tang. What charity are you wanting me, in the unlikely event, to send the money to?Done.
Bet taken.

I can see this. Same in Wales were voting Plaid is always a risk as its a split of the vote. Anglesey is a classic example where 60% of votes were split between them and labour and the tories snuck in on 31%.The SNP are a totally busted flush. They are done. To me this Tory government has a John Major feel about it. Whilst Starmer ain’t no Tony Blair he’s on for a comfy 80+ seat majority at least.I can see this. Given how despised the tories are and without the toxic Corbyn factor I can see a lot of people backing Labour to really make it a safe anti tory play.
SNP have had a good run, but independence seems no nearer.
John Major was a safe pair of hands after the toxic era of Thatcher. But the 'nasty party' view persisted and Blair won.To me this Tory government has a John Major feel about it. Whilst Starmer ain’t no Tony Blair he’s on for a comfy 80+ seat majority at least.
Yep. Agreed. Major’s government was well past its sell by date as are the current Tories. Politics like a lot of things is cyclical and it’s more than a time for a change. I genuinely believe the Tories are going to get wiped out and rightly so. They have been shockingly inept and corrupt.John Major was a safe pair of hands after the toxic era of Thatcher. Rishy is similar being a safe pair of hands following the truss debacle. But tories don't want safe. The hard core didn't want Johnson out and don't get why Truss had to go. Given a choice most tory voters would want either of the former back. That dissatisfaction won't help then campaign.
