I’m generally pretty ambivalent to media shit but that Herbert article has pissed me off big time. There’s been enough said on social media for everyone to be aware that it was half a dozen teenagers acting like knobheads. It wasn’t our ‘fan base’ and, from reports, it was quickly condemned by those who heard it. It’s irresponsible in the extreme and could potentially lead to an incident on Sunday where a fan (blue or red) get injured. Herbert’s always come across as a wanker but this has crossed the line in my opinion. If the clubs PR department (yeah, I know) aren’t making some very loud noise about this I’ll be very disappointed.

No, Bobby Charlton didn't put Manchester on the map, Herbert. Manchester was on the map long before Bobby Charlton became a United player.

Unfortunately and this wont go down too well with some people, but I firmly believe it was the Munich Air Disaster that put the Rags on the map.
City were the top club in Manchester for many decades before that fateful disaster, so once again Herbert is talking with his dick in his hand.
 
The nauseating reporting of united in the mail and elsewhere is something else. When did we allow the media to subject us to constant rag propaganda? The internet is many things but it has shone a spotlight on how the red machine works. It’s constant crap 24/7. Can you imagine what will happen when they do eventually manage to get 8/9 good players?

bombardment and it is akin to how the media crank up a gear when reporting on countries at war. Sickening.

It tires you out trying to avoid it ffs.

Human failure on so many levels.

Greedy corporate wankers.

The absolute irony of writing an article criticising hatred, loathing and bitterness, that drips from start to finish with hatred, loathing and bitterness. If you ever want to know just how much our sustained success hurts scum like Herbert, read that piece of garbage and drink it in.

I’m not one for cancel culture but he should allow fair & polite comments on his article or tweets otherwise he’s leaving no other opportunity to respond.

Because they can monetise it, write something negative about City and they can get their great unwashed readership to click on it and offer their views on the comment section to write something negative about City. The standard of it is akin to some of these social media pages like Sports Joe and Sports Bible who post stuff to get a reaction and a pile on by the people who read it. Newspapers don’t report news these days they post blog articles unfortunately.

It's not cancel culture, happy for him to write the facts, that a few morons let themselves and the club down.
He let his own personal bias dictate the narrative and then some dickhead editor thought it was OK to publish.

I hate the press/media as much as the next person. But do any of the knobheads that might cause trouble actually read the mail or sun etc ?

My City news comes from here or City themselves. I have no idea what the press/media write about any other club unless its mention on here.

I would think to large sections of society the traditional press/media are redundant. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I read a paper and my missus buys the mail every Saturday much to my disgust.

The more irrelevant papers become the discussing and desperate their headline and stories become. This is their dieing swan song

Pretty certain the Mails digital content is one of the biggest in the world.
