PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I like winding rags up by saying old trafford isn't in manchester.

But according to many source it is. Sadly address validation is part of my job. An easy way to check is by looking on the royal mails postal address file ( https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode ). That has old trafford in manchester. Maybe Old Trafford isn't what i should have checked but it seems sensible.

These things happen all the time. Stockport used to be Cheshire, Croydon used to be Surrey. Although County isn't strictly part of an address so that's a bad example i guess.

Right bored myself to slee
The days of using this flimsy stick to beat them are well behind us. They are welcome to claim they are from Manchester because we are the fucking pride of Manchester and they are the shit of Manchester.

They can claim they are in Manchester if they like Dave, but not all 759 million of the cunts

It is in Trafford which is part of Greater Manchester but outside the City of Manchester boundary.
I would go into it further but i can't be arsed. It is a confusing thing. For instance a City and County do not form part of an address. As far as addresses go, Manchester (much like London) is a Post Town. Both Stadiums are in the Post Town of Manchester. So a red can easily point to that. Boroughs and Counties are more for administrative and political purposes (and of course stadium discussions).

I still tell my red wife that we're the only club from Manchester and if she says united are too, i just say oh no you're not.

I live in Astley which is part of Wigan Borough

Our official address is

Manchester

having a Manchester address doesn’t mean you in Manchester
I'm not making it up though. Addresses are a pain. I live in Croydon and i still write Surrey on my address even though its both pointless and wrong.

For your interest and edification Astley is your Double Dependent Locality, Tyldesley is your Dependent Locality, and Manchester is your Post Town. Yes it's in the borough of Wigan (which i presume is in the irrelevant Greater Manchester) but administrative bodies and political bodies follow their own rules.

If anyone is interested in knowing more about how addresses are structured, this is an exciting introduction royal mail paf structure

This is a weird hill for you to want to die on, bru

Good old Piccadilly radio and the sinking feeling it gave you when they played the ‘oh no’ jingle during a song. 95 percent of the time they always went to wherever City were playing.
I remember them once playing it's a goal and saying city have gone 1-0 up at Villa and we'll be there straight after the adverts

Spent the next couple of minutes celebrating us taking a rare lead in an away game only to find when they went to Villa Park that they'd played the wrong jingle and we were in fact 1-0 down

It’s weird isn’t it. Half a mile down Manchester Road and I’m in Leigh, a mile or so further and I’m in Warrington, go t’other way and cross the East Lancs and hey presto it’s Salford. We’re officially Manchester but pay our Council Tax to Wigan.

Shows how much interest there has been City related in the past to the Ballon D'or, never knew they did a team of the year, off to check previous winners :-)
Think we won it the year before am sure I remember some sly comment by the daughter of an ex rag on sky sports

Postcodes are irrelevant. According to postcodes, Wrexham is in Llandudno. The key is the Council to which you pay Council Tax, the Council you would ring if your street lights went off or your bin wasn't collected.

The oh no jingle was used an awful lot when City were playing away in those days.
