Pay a reduced fine and do the course, it's interesting but take your own Bourbons. Oh and BTW, it didn't work the first time so I went back a few years later.Just had a letter from the Warwickshire police speeding on the M42 at 79mph from a bridge camera, pay the fine with 3 points or pay a slightly reduced fine and do the course
What? and get done for drink driving as well :)Pay a reduced fine and do the course, it's interesting but take your own Bourbons. Oh and BTW, it didn't work the first time so I went back a few years later.
They should make it part of the driving test.
Smaller fine and no points isn't it?Got done for the first time in my life a few weeks ago 48mph on a 40mph road. Some devious police vehicle parked in a lay by.
I have been driving for nearly 60 years and will not be doing a speed awareness course as I would just lose my temper. It is nothing to do with road safety just the police getting their statistics improved and a money making racket.
Fuck them,
Dunno where you live mate but round my way you can't even find a copper to hand yourself in to.If I did that would I not be essentially admitting to them that I had been speeding, would they not then be obliged to look into it?
£10 less for speed awareness course and no points. Everybody I know who have been on the course say it is just a time wasting effort to tell you the bleeding obvious.Smaller fine and no points isn't it?

Clearly you haven't been on the course. It's highly informative and in general pretty good fun and a lot of what they tell or show you isn't as bleedin obvious as you think, remember that everyone there is in the same boat so you're not getting singled out or lectured too. If you go, go with an open mind, you'll learn from it. It's so good, I went twice !!!!£10 less for speed awareness course and no points. Everybody I know who have been on the course say it is just a time wasting effort to tell you the bleeding obvious.
This is the right answerDo the speed awareness course. Saves you 3 points on your licence and a hike in your insurance premiums for the next 5 years. I did one a couple of years ago and found it useful to be honest. Learnt a few things as well. I think the majority are done on line now. I understand how you feel, but be pragmatic. It's the sensible thing to do.
seems like a no brainer too me. Remember your next insurance will go up as well if you get points£10 less for speed awareness course and no points. Everybody I know who have been on the course say it is just a time wasting effort to tell you the bleeding obvious.
Yes I know but I would just have lost my temper on a speed awareness course having driven for so long without any offence. Too old now to bother about the cost I am just going to take it on the chin. I bought a new VW Polo in September 2021 and have not yet done 5k miles so very unlikely I will get many more offences if any.seems like a no brainer too me. Remember your next insurance will go up as well if you get points
West Yorkshire police sent me on one as well didn’t work either, they’re sending me on another one as soon as I send them the money. Think I’m getting it now avoid working in Yorkshire.Pay a reduced fine and do the course, it's interesting but take your own Bourbons. Oh and BTW, it didn't work the first time so I went back a few years later.

I did a seat belt awareness course by zoom or whatever....yes, they do have them. As long as you get 75% or over you've cracked it.Did an awareness course earlier this year online via Zoom. Sat at home with a coffee, all done in two and a half hours.
