I switched the sound off after the pen it was so bad and desperate against city but I thought he was trying to get a message to VAR say six of one etc.
On a related point I am also sick of this well done for leaving city for game time line. Has he ever congratulated a y other clubs youngsters for leaving .They were hoping with Sancho but it didn't work out.
This lack of game time malarkey is something I think city need to lack at .its too easy for some smart arse agent to make a pile of money and a club that's never lifted a finger to double their money.
Need to look at a different approach , maybe if someone merits game time low buy backs til they're say 23 to keep control. I suppose the problem is city want the money on from the academy. But is this right. McAtee has another Palmer written all over him. What if Rico fancies a piece of the action too.
Need to consider our approach very carefully imo.
You think Rico is struggling for game time? Where is McAtee currently on loan?

I had hoped both Palmer & McAtee would break into the 1st team squad. The reality is that they are decent players, just not quite up to the world class standard City require. If Palmer turns out to be a world beater, then everybody wins - City, Chelsea & Palmer.

What a dullard! Carragher wanted the penalty ruled out because of the earlier grab and hold by both players. He clearly said it was a 50/50 so why penalise Haaland?
To misquote Hubbard "Genius has its limits, stupidity doesn't"

Just ruling the penalty out wouldn’t be penalising Haaland, or was he suggesting it should have been a foul the other way rather than just not giving the penalty?

The media had the motm in their collective back pockets before the game had even 0kicked off. Its another stick to beat us with, the why did City let such a talented player leave, what a mistake ect ect narrative was all very predictable. Let's see at the end of the season when the trophies are being won where Chelsea are and where we are.
It was all quite predictable. They did exactly the same with Sancho, although they seem to have gone a bit quiet on that one now…

If you listened, without pics of his second goal, you'd swear he picked it up and placed it over the line for a try rugby style.

We don't get a lot wrong and in receiving £45 million for a player that had played less than 500 minutes for the first team and who didn't want to stay, we haven't got this wrong either. Remember Pep never stands in the way of players who are not happy

Yeah I've no issues with him and hes clearly talented and doing well at Chelsea. I just don't get the hype. He was pretty quiet yesterday other than the pen, yet the media would have us all believe he shone for Chelsea yesterday when in reality 3 of their 4 goals were all down to bad errors on our part.
Sterling was their best player by a mile.

The Independent (lol at that name, btw), likens Us and Chelsea to two cycling drugs cheats in a piece about Liverpool today.
That's the asthma epidemic club, if you're not too familiar.
My word what hold has cult got on the media. I don't understand the love in.
