Met a very bitter Blades fan on Sunday on the train. Hostile about “oil club” City. Said our spending was obscene. No awareness of the truth about our owner. I put him right on investment in the community etc but he was too brainwashed to get it.
Geordies and dippers were going hammer and tongs on social media after their game, the dippers accusing Newcastle fans of trying to create a rivalry with them, sure I've heard those accusations before from fans of last season's struggling mid table hoofers. The dippers laughing at the geordies leaving the ground after the second goal, but the geordies hitting back, asking why they had so many empty seats and saying the dippers were quiet until the last ten minutes.

The boss of the social media team is a United fan and that's a major part of the problem. It is a cultural problem within that team.
It amazes me that a senior manager at a purported prestigious organisation like the BBC is so unprofessional and even more so that his senior exec masters allow this to pass without any intervention. I’ve worked in the past with some right arrogant fuckers in brand strategy, marketing etc who think they’re the dogs and can get away with anything - and every so often a good hard (metaphorical) kick in the bollocks can work wonders. Looks like one is sorely needed here.

Guy has axe to grind every day. News is today we made 400mil from academy sales once it opened.

Look at this gem from Delaney - being called out for it in comments. Lol
Fucking hell, how does he have time to actually write pieces? He's constantly on Twitter arguing and talking shit.

Think the integrity of the BBC can be called into question on a number of occasions .

But he didn't mind getting promoted and banking millions with help loan players from "oil" club. Thought they were an "oil" club anyway.

The above posts sum up the media in a nutshell. Don't try to be insightful or objective but always look for an angle that gets attention, whether it's true, false, whatever.

Newcastle don't get a mega-bid from the Saudi league and it's a conspiracy. Newcastle do get a mega-bid from the Saudi league and it's a conspiracy.

City sell Academy players and it's an FFP dodge. City don't sell Academy players and we're stockpiling.

Bunch of utter wankers, the lot of them.

Should change their name to from Sport City to Sport United.
The odds stretch way beyond 50-50 when you take in the rags' domestic cup home draw accumulator of 11 consecutive home draws in the domestic cups. (Not counting last season's two legged League Cup semi final when they had the advantage of playing the away leg first). The last time they were drawn away was against Leicester in the FA Cup 6th round in March 2021. Maybe someone with a better grasp of statistics than me can work out what the odds of being drawn at home 11 consecutive times are.
