I can remember when we were not a very good football team
I'd look for any odd fact such as two away clean sheets in a row from our defence,or David White is the fastest player in the league..Anything to distract away from the reality we were crap.
This is how utd fans are viewing things now.
jog on sad rags.
I used to quote our massive floodlights

Me too, it made me an angry little fucker. A bad weekend and I'd be out looking for any of the plastic fans that I could find just to provoke them. I wanted to kick the living daylights out of the smarmy-wankers, such was my psychotic reaction to a rag victory and a City defeat.
Some of them would try to appease me ("calm down, mate. It's only a game,") but I was having none of it. I wanted to steam into the sad little mummy's boys with their raggy card collections, replica shirts and 10 X 4 glossy pictures of George Best everywhere. Small wonder the plastics at school gave me a wide berth.

A psychologist would tell you I was probably from a dysfunctional family, there was a long and deeply established root of violence in the family, or that I was a 'troubled individual.'

It was none of these things - I just fucking hate the rags.

I always use to say at least we are the true Manchester club and not using another Citys name

And thats what its all about..
You should always support your local club as a birthright... supporting or adopting a team from another town or city that can never really be your own is madness.

You wouldn’t like it over here then. Got mates here who have two three even four clubs that they support . One supports Acc Stanley, Liverpool, Blackburn rovers. The other Bradford, Liverpool and Newcastle.

City were the 7th closest league club to me (3rd closest top flight) at the time of my birth so no chance I’m agreeing to that. With the closest club being nearly 5 miles away, I never really classed any as local enough to have an affinity in that way.
