Do you know something that PB doesn't? Why so negative? It really doesn't though.

You are the Chairman of my beloved West Brom & I claim my £5“the local Dewhurst butchers sponsoring todays match ball and the local DIY store sponsoring a hoarding or two around the ground !!”
It’s such a huge accusation that it’s unlikely the PL won’t find a way to make some of it stick.
The publicity now is serious & the PL decide which rules they are going to use against certain clubs - & which clubs are untouchable
Don’t know why, but today I feel we’ve been done & the only way we have a chance is if a truly independent regulator is appointed quickly.
They can't ignore everything that's gone before.I get what you are saying PB and believe you but I cant help thinking the board will just ignore it all and fine us guilty.
Anyone who substantively conflates City and Everton is either thick, dishonest or possibly both. They bear absolutely no relation to each other, save arguably for the severity of the punishment, which can only be founded upon a finding of guilt against City.
Like you say, this is a fishing expedition where the punishment is the charges themselves. What we have been accused of is preposterous and needs to be supported by hard evidence of which there will be none.
"I fear our niceness will be our downfall." Speak softly and carry a big stick. People tend to equate being nice to being a mug. Being nice is a life choice, it doesn't necessarily make you an easy target.
for two reasons:I know this may sound like a kamikaze approach but still…
Club said they have irrefutable evidence. Why not publish it on the City website. No need to wait, get the info out there. Show the payments and explanations then watch the fallout. Hit back against the media. I am not saying give the sensitive info that would aid our rivals but just the simple payment structure and the explanation.
We are losing the hearts and minds battle ground anyway.
as the dalai lama once said do not ever my mistake kindness for weakness."I fear our niceness will be our downfall." Speak softly and carry a big stick. People tend to equate being nice to being a mug. Being nice is a life choice, it doesn't necessarily make you an easy target.
Is that relevant? Aren’t all 3 people on the panel neutral irrespective of who they are nominated by?The one in that case was the person “appointed” by UEFA wasn’t it?
The big take from the interview is that Stefan says that if ,and its a big if, we get found to have done what they are accusing us of, then we could be in big trouble and he does admit that it will be very difficult to prove what they are accusing us of.Do you not think the sun have been selective?
I made the mistake of checking the views of the Everton punishment on a couple of my own clubs fan forums & was disappointed, but not surprised, to see that most posters there have swallowed the anti City media bullshit that has been pumped out over many years, hook, line & sinker.I know this may sound like a kamikaze approach but still…

Nobody but the people involved have that kind of knowledge, what people are alluding to is that IF the pl had to kind of evidence to hang on us for these charges or we believed they did there would be no point requesting an independent commission, also IF the pl had the evidence to back up the charges it would be tantamount to a criminal investigation NOT a civil one.Do you have inside knowledge that there is no “hard evidence”? Nobody on here has much idea what the evidence against us is, we know the charges but the evidence is only disclosed to City…two completely different things. My concern is that since the CAS verdict, the PL have got their hands on additional evidence which now merits them charging us and them feeling more confident about it. However, all the evidence they have needs to be made available to us ahead of the “trial” so there won’t be any bombshells dropped in court.
I'm sure they only included the answers that suited their agenda. I have always found Stefan to be fair and considered. From the start he has highlighted how serious these charges are (which is true) whilst stressing that the burden of proof of guilt in this case is going to be considerable. You can ask him on here if he is 'surrender monkey' though.Reading through this, I'm not surprised Borson is a former advisor to Manchester City.
He sounds like a right surrender monkey & hasn't pointed out a myriad of mitigating circumstances which changes the whole complexion of the charges against us.
Fair enough, I understand the why nots. We could still release a version that is simple to understand while not implicating the club.for two reasons:
1) those are confidential business related documents with regards to our business practices and they arent for everybodys eyes.
2) 99% of people who read them wouldnt understand them and would make even more ridiculous arguments and reasonings without the proper context, i see it my job all the time, everybody wants access to their medical documents with absolute no idea of what they are looking at and then they put 2 and 2 together and come up with the knowing the square root of fuck all and then proceed to get really angry about it.
I think the aim of the PL and UEFA is to make sure their product is valuable and desirable and I guess that wouldn't be the case if you let someone like Newcastle spend £50bn on the best players and they win the league by 20 points each year. So the point of these caps is to ensure we don't basically get a farmer's league, which as you can see has been extremely successful in Germany (hahaha) which is ironically the country where the investigations against City's alleged breaches originated......
I believe that the mud sticking partHard to make something stick if you don’t have the evidence and the Commission behaves professionally.
Mud will stick forever with a lot of the public because they want to believe City are guilty of cheating but that is different.
If the Commission arrives at conclusions that would not be supported in a court of law, then City will do everything they can to end up in a court of law.
IF the club was charged with fraud then realistically people are looking at jail time, this is what really makes me believe that the PL dont have anything, if they had the evidence for these charges they would and should have turned it over to the CPS who could have obtained a legal warrant to turn over everything they needed to prove criminality, why havent they?Fair enough, I understand the why nots. We could still release a version that is simple to understand while not implicating the club.
We publish detailed accounts anyway. So why not explain the image rights and any other smoking gun the premier think they have.
The club if charged with fraud is facing an existential existence. Maybe time we pushed the narrative using our own platform. I am well aware it won’t happen but still it’s a nice thought -:)
