What games is he a pundit on?Don Goodman?

Might as well go the whole hog. It’s a good job the women of blue moon are all too busy doing the cooking and cleaning to read this thread ;)
Nasser Hussain and Mike Atherton commentate on T20 cricket, despite never playing it at the highest level.I think the point regarding pundits is that Sky et al ONLY employ male pundits that have played at the highest level.
Aye but women’s football isn’t even Sunday league levels, and that is sadly fact, plenty of occasions where top level women’s teams have lost to academy boys, Sunday league sides etcThat’s a ridiculous analogy.
The women pundits have played the game at the highest level that they can.
15 year old boys will already be faster and stronger than adult women, so the comparison is always pointless.Didn't the USA world cup winning team get turned over by a team of U15 boys?

There’s also the problem of there being so much football on TV that there won’t be much new to say in most games.Joey Barton has moved the goalposts from what he originally stated.
His interview with Piers Morgan from what I've watched I knew where he was coming from to be honest. Even though he's a ****, He's also entitled to have an opinion.
Their is nunerous terrible commentators and pundits men and women throughout various broadcasters. My opinion is that their is 90% of them are completely shocking with no insight to football, Not breaking down games ect Instead football has become like a soap wanting constant drama.
I also think their are some incredibly piss poor women and men commentators and pundits who are thick as fuck.
Oh ffs you can do better than that. Cricket is cricket. If football had a version that only lasted 20 minutes each side, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry would still be able to walk you through what’s happening.Nasser Hussain and Mike Atherton commentate on T20 cricket, despite never playing it at the highest level.
It’s a nonsense to suggest that you can’t be a good pundit without playing to the level you’re analysing.
He’s perfect for talk shite though, they must have been on the phone by now..!Bit short sighted of angry Joseph really. He's out of work isn't he? Not sure Sky will be on the phone to him anytime soon with opinions like that.
Ok, female athletes shouldn’t analyse male athletics as they are slower and less powerful.Oh ffs you can do better than that. Cricket is cricket. If football had a version that only lasted 20 minutes each side, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry would still be able to walk you through what’s happening.
As for your second paragraph, I don’t disagree and never have done, so why do the broadcasters only employ men that have played at the highest level?
I’m not anti female pundits, I’m anti “only allowing men that have played for Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea et al” to be employed.Ok, female athletes shouldn’t analyse male athletics as they are slower and less powerful.
The comparison works in every sport. The sport is the same, the pace is different, but the effort isn’t.
No it isn’t, it’s 100% box ticking, I couldnt care any less who does what and why but all forms of media have been ticking boxes for years and will continue to do so ad infinitum, so nobody gets upset :-( ::::::Broadcast companies are commercial ventures and they've realised that audiences want and prefer a range of voices and styles rather than more of the same. It's not box ticking, it's about representing their audiences better and giving people what they want.

As for Barton, he’s gone full Le Tissier now:
Keegan speaking with tact?Kevin Keegan recently said pretty much the same as Barton, albeit in a slightly more gentle, tactful manner and not on a huge social media platform for millions to see. I agree with Keegan.
Do they though? Who wants Eni Aluko? Who wants Alex Scott? Who wants Carragher?Broadcast companies are commercial ventures and they've realised that audiences want and prefer a range of voices and styles rather than more of the same.
