BBC SPOTY | Team of the Year: CITY | Coach of the Year: GUARDIOLA | World Sport Star: HAALAND

Yep. As an ardent racegoer, I agree 100% with that.
It's certainly all about 'Frankie' that's for sure. And
he'll be back again next year, without a doubt.
He won't be able to help himself. I bet a lot of the
other top jocks can't wait to see the back of him.
Not just jockeys either PPT, race goers as well.

All this, "racing won't be the same without him" shite, few will miss him once he's history, unless, heaven forbid, he steps into a presentation/ITV Racing ex jocks role to massage his overinflated ego.

If he wins this based on his so called 'retirement', then it will another sham in addition to what's been endured all season.

Following the example of liverpool winning the Team of the year in 2020, (for winning err… the PL… only), I look forward to Dan Roan going full-on North Korea election mode and ensuring that City (you know, the treble winners and supercup winners, plus the unprecedented top scorer in the world) come 2nd to Hollywood Wrexham.
We absolutely wouldn’t have had a chance if England had won the Ashes.

Laughably piss-poor.

The honest answer is that the BBC, with a relatively limited sports broadcast budget, is commercially invested in the success of the women's game.

If (and it's a big if granted) other channels show any real interest in the WSL then the useless BBC will lose that too.

And yet she's by some huge distance the favourite with the public.

The final was one of the most watched TV programmes of the year, and the most watched sporting event in this country in 2023, so of course the BBC are invested.

Clearly she's popular, and to suggest that the obvious candidate, from the most watched sporting event, is some kind of fix is what's piss poor ;)

The final, one match. The last word in the title is year. She's popular because the bbc have shoved her down our throats. Mind you Messi won a so called prestigious prize because he's nice and well why not.

And to think that if anyone so much as voices an opinion on it they are ranting, fuckin' state of some people ;)

Bang on.
I think it’s nailed on that he will be an ITV presenter during the big Ascot, Goodwood, festivals and the like. unfortunately, I don’t think we have seen the last of him, by a long way.

Sorry just to be clear the "laughably piss-poor" comment was aimed at the BBC and not your post.
