DO they ever wonder how we lifted up the CL a few months ago? I must have been dreaming when we crushed REAL, BAYERN and INTER to lift the BIG EARS! Did we fix those matches too? All I remember is when we were drawn with BAYERN and MADRID, they were celebrating thinking we were getting knocked out. After we crushed those teams, the silence roared. The silence was cold. The BIAS, the HATE and IGNORANCE from these LEGACY CLUBS' FANS is remarkable. I swear most of these fans are daft as f***!
Do you remember the Scouse sympathiser Delooney’s comments, something like “with Bayern and Real now out of the competition City have an easy pathway to win the Champions League”. A humongous, disingenuous prick who couldn’t admit the only reason they were out is because we smashed them both

Wtf is the fucking prick on about!?
Their so called great support is an absolute fucking myth!
All they do is sing their fucking hymn at the start.. shout a bit for 5 minutes..then after that only pipe up if they score ffs.
Just the usual night at Anfield for meme.
No wonder the away fans start singing "Where's your famous atmosphere" at them.

Every Liverpool fan that you can find. Probably never have been to Liverpool in their life. Which means they have no connection or identity to the City of Liverpool.

Same applies to our red neighbours in Trafford.

Admittedly I haven't been to Anfield for years but I've been a lot and always remember telling my United mates that I thought the atmosphere was far worse than the swamp. It's only rocking for their cup final which is against us every season!
The Anfield atmosphere is one of the biggest myths in football. In the mid 70s it was amazing. Like a bear pit for opposition fans and players. But it has been terrible for the past 20 years, not helped by the high volume of out-of-town fans and plastics.
I have been there more than 40 times (more than most LFC fans I meet). Their fans do turn up the volume for the big games just the same as every other club. In the 70s and 80s when they sung "You'll never walk alone" it was spine-tingling and didn't need prompting. These days they sing it before kick-off with a mass of half-n-half scarves. It's embarrassing. No matter how much the media goes on about it, every away fan from every other club, knows the modern day atmosphere is a myth.

The really succesful and prominent clubs attract tommy tourists , they buy a hotel package , ticket , meals etc , its big business and far more lucrative than me , i dont spend a bean in the ground or the club shop , i pay for my discounted OAP match ticket and give the club fuck all else , monetary wise
The fact they have the cheek to charge £30 for a membership to buy at ticket is an affront , but its a cross to bare if we want the Champs leagues and titles and watching world class footballers every week

Football changed immeasurably with the introduction of the Premier league , it is now ran by Yank owners , and they want more razamatazz , they want the contoversy of VAR its great for the unwashed masses with their remote controls sat on their sofa's , now they want to introduce sin bins for added drama.
The money men couldnt give a f*ck about local match going supporters , they want tourists , TV money/subscriptions and the more the merrier.

Then the managers have the cheek to moan about atmosphere , they need to look closer to home and realise what their clubs are becoming whilst raking in millions of pounds a year in remuneration totally aloof to what a working man gives up as a percentage of his income to watch the club they love

Yep and sit there expecting the fans to make its a great atmosphere for there "tourists day out" but this is where we heading should give all the ones in the main stand those clappers Leicester had and tell them to give them a shake

Do many sing it now? Most of the noise appears to come from the loudspeakers

Pep has been saying the same and many on here have been moaning about our newer fans and tourists all over the ground.

Anfield capacity a few years ago 45k, season tickets allocation 25k
Anfield capacity now nearly 60K, season tickets allocation 25k

We will be doing the same once the north srand is expanded floging extra capacity to day trippers, on this we as a club are now no different than the rags or red scouse.

The issue though here is who Klopp is moaning to, and Pep when he does it, stop calling out our fans and start questioning why locals and long term fans are dropping off and stop charging expensive ticket prices that price many out, who would go locally.

Atmosphere and staleness in grounds is becoming an issue in the top clubs, but a manager bleating on about it while their club is selling packages to any old fucker is pointless

Think that goes for all football it did have an edge.
It was brilliant in the 80s etc.
Now it's watered-down boring full of tourists

Are them season ticket holders figures correct?

I sincerely hope they are, as we have more than that don't we?

we do, by about 8k plus or more.

but they keep it that way on purpose and have done for years, we will do the same so we can flog day tickets and packages.

This. City could give the 1894 lads 5,000 discounted tickets to get the ground rocking rather than fleecing tourist but we know they won't.
