"once Rooney is sacked off..."
I misread it at first and had a horrible image of a granny getting to work with her gums....
Not your proudest wank.

Garry Cook was on the verge of sweet talking him into joining City when he was in charge. So it’s just maybe "job for a mate" who he thought could replicate his football career into management. Garry always looked for the headline and this appointment was no different. They will probably both be gone soon leaving a mess behind.
Snagging grannies and drink driving is not particularly welcome in Saudi. This time next year he will be raking it in managing in Saudi anyway. I'm sure he'll have no problem getting a gig there being a big name.
I'm surprised he didn't just try to go straight there actually. He must have still had a bit of ambition but this will probably cement the fact he isn't a good enough manager and he'll be off to Saudi.
Very perceptive of you, J.Not sensing much love for "Wazza" on here.
I think that’s only on the BBC.Stokes first win in 9, slowly its becoming Birmingham City without the Wayne Rooneys Birmingham City mentioned
Talk Sport always call it W R's Birmingham CItyI think that’s only on the BBC.
They were in the play-off places when they sacked Eustace for Rooney. Now they're 3 places off the relegation zone. The fans must be furious. When you see a losing manager interviewed and he says I cannot understand why we were so poor, and I cannot understand why we keep losing, you have to think his time is up. Ridiculous decision to replace Eustace with Rooney, and entirely predictable what has happened.
American owners/investers thinking a "Star" name will improve the club only to see it crash and burnThey were in the play-off places when they sacked Eustace for Rooney. Now they're 3 places off the relegation zone. The fans must be furious.
The 'muricans have a mixed record when it comes to ownership of football clubs in Blighty. Obviously, FSG have improved Liverpool, up to a point. But they were starting from a pretty low point (Hicks and Gillette). One PL and one champions league in, what, 10 years or so. Along with a couple of domestic cups. It's pretty meagre returns for a club with such 'ist'ree. Similar with Kroenke at Arsenal. No PL since 2004, and no CL, ever. A couple of domestic cups is about it for them. The hierarchy at Brum have had a disastrous start, appointing "Wazza". On the other side of the coin, Wrexham have had a major boost since deadpool and his mate took over the club. It'll be interesting to see if they can consolidate, maybe get another promotion or two in the next, say 5 years. And we'll have to see how 777 get on if/when they complete the takeover of Everton. I thought there was another club with American owners that have underperformed, but I can’t think of it right now.American owners/investers thinking a "Star" name will improve the club only to see it crash and burn
Villa did under Randy Lerner and Burnley were relegated / promoted. The 'muricans have a mixed record when it comes to ownership of football clubs in Blighty. Of course; how could I forget them? Doh!Villa did under Randy Lerner and Burnley were relegated / promoted.
Villa was a fucking shambles under Lerner. Know one third of their beer deliveries were getting back doored via white vans across pubs in Birmingham and the Black Country for a couple of years. Club only realised when they changed suppliers. No one thought to wonder why the beer stocks didn’t tally with what they were being invoiced for and paying. Like one third of their fucking stock! I am told this was typical of how the club was run.Villa did under Randy Lerner and Burnley were relegated / promoted.
Tbf, Wrexham is a bit different, they are not business men, who are just in it to make money. It's also probably unfair to say they are using Wrexham as a "toy".... as so far they seem pretty good owners from the outside. The 'muricans have a mixed record when it comes to ownership of football clubs in Blighty.
