He wasn't slow at Leeds at all, his mobility was one of his strengths. He was routinely able to come into the right positions during 2018-21, but I've generally thought that was more about Bielsa's system than Kalvin.

Though this was also after some injury issues, I was distinctly unimpressed by his performances under Jesse Marsch.

Another poster above was right that his long passing is his only elite attribute. I did think his mobility and pressing was there too for us but it's not now.

I never said he was of help to anyone, but either way, I want someone to come in and help out Rodri, whether Phillips stays or go. Because Phillips is going, whoever is coming, if they come, can come into his spot as far as the squad size is concerned.

Needs to go to Newcastle as it will be good for him. When he came from Leeds. I was over the moon with it and thought he would do a job for us but it’s never worked out as playing for Leeds and England is not the level which we operate . Good luck Kalvin

People claiming Kalvin was (is) slow have never watched him playing for Leeds. Under Bielsa he was covering larger pitch area are than Rodri and very often he was playing inbetween his CBs, both defending and starting most of their attacks from the back.
I never heard him blaming Bielsa for getting crocked, but his shoulder injuries and Pep being Pep worked against him. I really liked him as a player and hope he goes to Newcastle or Juventus or wherever and smash it.

How he played at Leeds and how he plays in the future is irrelevant.

In our shirt he has been appalling, a terrible signing but we move on thankfully and get a player in that can help out Rodri and Co.

Well it is, he’s going to leave before playing a good game.

Part of that’s due to him not being deemed good enough to play, the rest is that whenever he does, he’s shit.
