Liam Gallagher

He’s a lot more than “the best tambourine player from Manchester“ jealous. Noel stop trying to stay relevant
Noel played the Ritz a few weeks back and dedicated "All you need is love" to Liam (well the best tambourine player from Manchester he called him)

They will tour again, not sure with what line up but they will 100% be back
Liam has a joint album with John Squire out soon should be great

Absolutely awful that. Sounds like an half baked idea that John Squire got Liam to sing so he could do 2 minutes of his typical overblown guitar solos he's been doing since The Second Coming.

Hope their album has better tunes than this. It sounds like if you asked AI to make a collaboration between these two in the most generic way possible.

Then again, one is 61 and one is 50. You can't really expect anything groundbreaking can you? You would just think Squire would at least have some decent unused tunes up his sleeve, even if they're decades old.

Gosh.

Initially I like the guitar tone. But as a guitar geek it's not difficult to get a nice tone out of a guitar and unless you own a load of guitars and pedals and stuff you possibly don't want to just listen to a nicely set up guitar playing a simple progression. It sounds a bit like something I might do, obviously better but I barely call myself a guitar player.

The vocals are a bit overbearing. And then the lyrics fkinhell.

It's not great.

God that's shite. Sounds like a Squire sound check with a Liam Gallagher demo that didn't make the cut over the top of it

Sounds like the Roses demo stuff (Garage Flower etc).
Not really sure what everyone expected- Liam especially has a shtick that he knows will appeal; Squire is a very good guitarist - and this is the result.
Lyrically it’s par for the Oasis course.
With the odd exception, once Morning Glory was released, everything afterwards was 2nd division stuff, the solo gear included.
There’s a reason both Liam and Noel crank out setlists littered with the early stuff.
Very, very few artists have a canon that is continually developing whilst simultaneously being continually brilliant, I.e. from Red to Blue Album à la Beatles.

Fair fucks though to the Liam and Squire. They’re having a go. A mediocre one admittedly.

Really wanted this to be good but it's dreadful. Liam listing the colours of the rainbow is up there with his cringiest lyrics ever, which really is saying something!

"Indigoooooo violettttt".
I like the music...yeah, it's forgotten riff from the 2nd coming (actually *EDIT...I think I mean the Seahorses), but it's still sounds good. Other than that....
I haven't liked Liam's vocals since Morning glory.

I think it's a Seahorses b-side

Was looking forward to this so I could play it on my radio show tonight. God, the song is dreadful. Sounds like exactly what it is - two middle-aged has-beens trying to sound relevant

Didn't take long for the fab four to get a mention in a Gallagher thread............. ;-)
