If the media want to besmirch our sponsors why don’t they start with the Dippers. Standard Charter have been found guilty several times and have had multi-million pound fines for money laundering terrorists money from ISIS, Hamas and Al-Qaeda, but not one mention anywhere in the press that they are their sponsors.

So I could open up a company called SuperDry that makes cat litter and neither would be able to sue me because their protections are limited to fashion and brewing/drinks respectively.
The reason they’re taking action against City is because they think the club is selling clothing with SuperDry on and the clothing company’s trademark is in that category.
Even if they win the consequences would likely be just be that us fans get to buy training kit etc without the sponsor. The players would still wear the Asahi sponsored kit.

Independence and objectivity are fundamental principles of a fair investigation.

There was the same issue when I was working in an accounting firm and they audited two businesses which were in competition. What happened is that two different partners took the jobs and they were thoroughly independent and confidential because the partners and the audit teams, as complete professionals, would never discuss each other's jobs and ......
