I doubt there’s anything official but the bodies will definitely be buried somewhere, and you are right about the establishment up to a point. That equation isn’t limitless, if only for reasons of self preservation.

Do you not have faith that the judicial enquiry will expose everything then?

Saw the TV series and was amazed and obviously appalled at the treatment of the Postmasters (and subsequently, their staff).
But, who else can investigate this if not "the establishment" ?
I'm not trying to be clever, but who could or should be grilling the previous Post Office senior employees and Fujitsu bigwigs ?

After reading your post and those of @gordondaviesmoustache I pondered about how you could possibly go about trying to provie it....but then came back to the very way in which they sought to charge the victims in this case. That being that they had signed off their accounts as being a true record.
I started to wonder if the senior managers signed off on their accounts, their profits and their annual reports that they submitted to the governement. Surely Vennels would have to have put her name to something to explain where all the amazing profits that "she was making" for the PO were coming from. Well we now all know they were coming from the broken system.
 
What I can’t understand is what do the aggregated PO accounts look like. Surely an auditor would see that they were reporting more revenue than the business had actually generated e.g. they would know what Stock had been supplied and therefore sold and thereby the actual revenue , same for PO payments and deposits on its accounts for all their banking products etc etc.

The select committee (not the inquiry), stated that they have broken the disclosure law already, they withheld the Horizon complaint history, which would have scuppered every single case they brought to the court and would have been (as it was in some), used to refute any contract terminations, or fines.

he has basically dobbed them in by suggesting that everyone knew about the bugs - its also come out that statements were tampered with to remove references of any probable bugs.

Several are now proven to have perverted the course of justice, and under oath so, will see jail time.

Not a cat in hells chance. The Met top cop, Rowley has said a police investigation will not be concluded until 2026. Bollocks. The biggest cover up in this country started 15 years ago and is still going on. The cops started investigating in 2020. 6 years ! Fuck off.

That's the best approach for Fudge, people were paid shed loads of bonuses and doing on paper o/t . However, they have not shown adequate governance of a company which is part of their group ICL.
