PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think if the argument was that we won the league by breaking the financial rules, and as a result had around double the amount of money United or Liverpool had, then that's a legit asterisk.

To match the advantage that United had when they won their treble, we'd need another £500m a year on top of what we currently earn.
So rags won in 2013 and wasted 1 b and haven’t managed to win again.

Strange how they go after us for financial reasons yet we consistently prove we are better run and less wasteful than all the red shirted detritus that we compete with. They need to have a good look at their own finances, useless fuckers.

Manchester City - losses of 59m euros (£51m) and Bayern Munich - losses of 61m euros (£52m) - "have the best balances among the most competitive teams" the report said.

But it does

if you only have £50million a season to spend on players instead of £300million you will not be winning titles and the Champions League, or even getting close to a top 6 place,

The reason why they have gone after us is because of past spendings are being questioned. How we got the money to get there in the place is all they have on us, If City can prove it was all above board or the EPL can prove it was by inflating sponsorship deals that involve Sheikh Mansour's wealth then the football side of things are questionable
I know.

But we didn't have more money than the teams that would have "won" those titles if we weren't around.

The money gave us financial parity with United and Liverpool, and Pep has used that to dominate them.

United won their treble when they had shit-loads more money than the other PL teams.

So, no matter what the source of City's money, Pep's achievements stand on their own when compared to other clubs with £500m+ a year revenue.

Interesting they don’t add academy players into that figure, I wonder where we’d be if they included that?

Not sure Leicester spent 300m a season on players mate.

That twat Jordan on talkshite earlier with White and Danny Murphy said all the people he talks to say we have a case to answer, coont.
That's just Daniel Levy talking dirty to him, he's on about.

Simon: "Big trouble?? Finished are they? Oh god yes!!! Tell me more, I'm yours Daniel!"

The telegraph took what he said out of context.

The telegraph's journalists/editors/sub editors don't want to the paper to be bought by Sheikh Mansour.
If he buys it now, it better be to turn it in a bog roll factory and close the piece of shite down. He’s a clever bloke their be a way to make his money back.

I enjoyed reading that. Other clubs lose 3, 4 or 500 million and we lose 50 (not includong academy sales in which case it'd be a 200 mill profit),...yet we have 115 charges...ah well another piece of evidence for the lawyers.

simon jordan is a ****, but he's only doing his job,
which is to attract a listening audience to the radio station he works for.

he's also possibly being financially encouraged to throw shit at us by people outwith the radio station.

he's a snide fucker who loves winding people up.
why are blues letting him wind them up?
that's what he wants.
fuck's sake, just laugh at the tosser.

in advance of the replies along the lines of...
"but fans of other clubs believe his bullshit"
and
"city should sue him, city should sue everyone,
et cetera"

why do you care what other people think?
and
our owners do things quietly, not in public.
what comes round goes round.
the long game is far more successful than the kneejerk approach.

chill out, brothers and sisters.
channel your energy into to something more positive than hating idiots.

we've come so far, don't let the fuckers get under your skin.
better to laugh at their patheticness and enjoy your days following the mighty blues.

I can imagine Lord Pannick waving it in front of the Kangaroo Court - sorry, 'Independent Panel'. It really is unbelievable how the rules have been manufactured to protect the chosen few.

Just on the subject of City fans being easy to manipulate. I don't think the reactions some people are having is surprising at all. It would be worse if Liverpool or United fans had to put up with the same every week. It's almost like they are attempting to subject City fans to the press equivalent of Chinese Water Torture(the one with the constant drip on the forehead).

They literally write headlines to bait City fans these days:

The latest one from talkSport earlier today courtesy of Simon Jordan:

'Simon Jordan Issues Stern WARNING To Manchester City Fans Amidst 115 FFP Charges! '

I'm sure that's crossing some sort of line, with how they've directly addressed the fanbase there. It's even more blatant than usual. Perhaps part of the reason, is Simon's getting his own back, after City fans tore him to shreds, over the Stefan interview. He's petty like that.

We're the number 1 team in the World. It's of no surprised that clickbait stations/websites/papers use us for clickbait headlines.

City fans need to stop rising to it. Until the case is done, Blues should just ignore the bait.

We're the best team in the world, whatever they do or say should be like water off a ducks back. Fuck 'em.

Just on another point, both utd and liverpool fans think large sections of the media are against them. utd fans think Simon Stone from the BBC is anti-utd.

Not sure if this has been reported. It's from an Athletic article about an internal United staff zoom call. Suggests they're either confident we'll be cleared, or that Berrada is some kind of Ralph Wiggum type that was oblivious to the world around him.

"And staff on the call took the opportunity to ask Stewart about the period in Berrada’s history relating to the City charges, as well as the corruption charges against Barcelona — another of his former clubs — relating to payments made by the Catalan club to a former Spanish referee chief. Both Manchester City and Barcelona deny any wrongdoing.

Stewart assured staff that United had performed the requisite due diligence, but did not go into any great detail, other than to say United are confident in the integrity and quality of their hire."

An underrated reference.

I doubt Gill is Ceferin’s favourite person at the moment as he’s leading a campaign to stop him changing the rules on number of times anyone can be UEFA president

David Gill understood to have led the opposition in a heated exchange with Ceferin
that red bastard will want the job = more charges incoming it'll never end
