if you're not mentally right they will quickly find you out and work you over, even on the walk to the wicket you have to show you are ready for a fight, I think that's why Joe Root does well over there, he's worked them out and always walks out with a smile and a look of am backing my technique

That’s test cricket in a nutshell though. Just hope Root leaves his scoops, ramps and whatever else he feels he has to play to keep up with Bazball.
 
I must be a jinx cos whenever I watch a test Crawley seems to get a low score. I mean I’m sure he does get big test scores for England, I just don’t think I’ve watched one.
 
Listening to Gough explain how Bairstow is playing without a sponsor and how this is a great opportunity for him to get some runs, a new sponsor, and add some noughts to his bank account. Cue clunk, the crowd cheering hysterically, and Bairstow traipsing back to the pavilion.
