In some ways I guess we should be grateful to Bingo for providing the opposition to drive City to new heights. The Centurions season was great but winning by such a big margin every year could become boring (after about 20 years).

Bingo is the Joe Frazier to Pep's Muhammad Ali. Hopefully this season will play out like the "Thrilla in Manila".

only.ever saw Klopp pre scouse on the odd dortmund game and liked him, also Dortmund under him gave us one of our hardest games in the champions league.
I will admit when he left them I would have been happy to see him roll up here if Pep wasn't coming.

However, he did come to England and become their manager, then we saw what a right mard bellend he was, moaning about any and everything if they didn't get their way. He properly drank the red scouse cultist kool aid, plus we witnessed his brand of football it's basically wimbledon under Joe Kinnear with better players.
im not sure i can agree with your assessment of their football - they are pretty much the only team who could outplay us during the Pep era.

that said your response is the only grown up one - everyone else has predictably reacted like children

ive much preferred the pep/arteta/klopp era of respect between the managers. its a damn sight more in the spirit of what sport should be than the fergie/wenger/benitez/morinho vitriol.

Frazier was every bit Ali's equal, it doesn't work as a comparison for me.

Bingo is Jake LaMotta - Pep is Sugar Ray Robinson. Or as I've said elsewhere - Bingo is Godfather 3, Pep is Godfather 1 & 2.

I quite like Klopp, and hopefully all fans of opposition clubs like us lot can respectfully state what a great manager he is/was and understand that its a 24/7 pressurised role that is impossible to do forever. best wishes fella.

oh no wait lets all go on social media and post memes and stupid comparison tweets like fucking 12yos
Fuck him.

The day he said it was a good day for football when UEFA banned us from Europe was the day he lost any little bit of respect I had for him.

And that should be the same for all blues.

I get the rivalry, but a bit of a lack of class in here. Yes, he's been obnoxious at times, but personally I have really enjoyed his rivalry with Pep, and he's led a team that have at times played really good, exhilarating football. Good luck to him.

Hard to argue with it being better, as they were genuinely toxic, and while Pep has his moments too, the other 2 are still moaning tossers for me, though they do seem to have some respect with each other.

Football fans are acting like football fans after the announcement that the manager of one of their biggest rivals of the last few years is leaving. Do you expect to see City fans wishing him the best and hoping he leaves with the league title?

Their football was long ball, get the fullbacks up wide and let Mane and Salah do their thing. It was hardly Brazil 1970.

And frqzi

And frazier was the good guy of the 2. So it deffo doesnt work

In hindsight the 21/22 season was so pivotal in how both Pep and Klopp are viewed.
If Liverpool had won the league and CL final that season it would have been
Pep 3 PL titles
Klopp 2 PL titles and 2 CLs.

The majority of people would have considered Klopp to have been the greater success.

Fast forward 18 months and it's
Pep 5 PL titles and 1 CL
Klopp 1 PL title and 1 CL

and any comparison between the 2 now looks comical.

The CL win was on the back of Liverpool finishing 4th in the PL the season before. Liverpool weren’t even 2nd, never mind Champions of the PL.

I fucking love the Matchday Thread. Can't wait for tonight. I'm hoping they'll have a tribute to Klopp beforehand just to set it off......

Oh, Off Topic is a thing to behold as well

Off Topic is a thing of beauty. A place where the lunatics really have taken over the asylum. I love it!

Lack of class, Klopp’s never shown that has he?
