I agree with everything, I also watched it all & thought the only person who left with any credit was Masters & I was watching it to see him burnt.

Every member of the committee had a story about the club they support & yet complained that investigators weren’t independent. You couldn’t make it up.

The madness of Everton fans who keep shouting ‘whatabout City’ & ‘whatabout the big 6’ they are the ones making out they are the little club.

Andy Burnham is a **** & at some point he’ll be found shouting ‘whatabout City’ & he should be run out of town.

As I say I have too much time on my hands and spent an hour of my life watching a pod cast that involved Burnham he for me is either too blinkered or mischief making.

Of course he is entitled to an opinion but he and the vast majority of Everton supporters should read and try to understand what the IC said around the clubs losses.

Everton didnt put their hands up till very late in the process despite their claims they did , some of their claims particularly around interest on stadium loans , lost transfer income and CoVID losses were fanciful to say the least.

The irony is it was Everton who managed to get this hearing delayed so it wouldn’t be dealt with in the 22/23 season( they would almost certainly been relegated )now they are up in arms as they face the likelihood that they will suffer two lots of points deduction in the same season

Having said all that a 10 point deduction is way over the top as was the ICs reasoning as to why not to a fine.

For me at most they should have had a fine, transfer ban , a squad size reduction or a combination of those but 10 points is way too much

The select committee were pathetic they became tribal quoting my club The issue they need to concentrate on was the relationship between the authorities in football FA, FPL, EFL, Conference etc and representatives of all should have been there The EPL and EFL cant even agree the way going forward The SC should have been bashing their heads together for the greater good of football and pushing for them to get agreement Masters and Parry are out of their depth and its clear that football need a strong regulator unfortunately we will get a weak livered clown
The question I would have asked of Parry is weren't you responsible for creating the EPL designed to suite the red shirts that became a cartel only broken up by the investment in Chelsea and City?
Also tell us about, the cartel's "Project Big Picture" PL version 2 that aimed at even greater control from a few clubs mainly owned by Americans

The plan is that the regulator will have powers over the top 5 leagues. So that’s down to the conference but below that level there are far more clubs that are vulnerable to rogue owners and many of these clubs operate on a shoestring.Little or nothing comes to say Northern Premier League clubs from the PL TV deal

The EFL don’t give a toss about real grass roots football they just want far more of the PL pie ( 25%) to filter down to them . Most of these clubs already pay far more as a% of their income than is realistic .

I once did a calculation that one EFL club ( and I for the life of me cant remember who it was ) received something like £10 from central fund for every supporter that attended and in that number was away supporters.

The simply way around ensuring sharing of power would be rather than having a 75% required majority to change PL rules to bring it down to a simple majority and if you got a 10-10 majority the FA use this casting vote

The IC's position has some logic but it amused me that they rejected a tariff that would have imposed a 9 or 10-point penalty then did exactly that. But did you really expect any common sense or logic from the PL?

I think the IC think we are all stupid and see their antics as a sign of independence and objectivity - when it’s clearly just a charade. More interesting is Masters assertions that he didn’t try to set a tariff during the hearing of Everton’s case when the IC have provided clear evidence that he did - including the specific date. Masters is a new level of bluster and incompetence even by the PLs lowly standards.

Could easily have been framed as:

“There is a date set for that proceeding. However, in the interest of fairness & confidentiality, I can’t publicly tell you when that is, but the process is ongoing.”

It's a small but important difference of approach, where the latter doesn't make you sound like the up your own arse, Alan B'Stard of football.

The show with Stefan caused quite a few ripples. Even though the head line writers did their job with the 'City - relegated' stuff, that show garnered a huge number of hits compared to usual TS clips, and within it was the opinion that the PL will be unlikely to prove their case.
Afterwards, although not a total sea change, there's been a mellowing of opinion on various podcasts, commentaries etc that there is the possibility the case will not be proven against City.
Also public opinion is slightly swinging against FFP/PSR because of Everton, Forest and Newcastle situations.
As you say, Jordan is doing the dirty work for his mates Levy & Parry etc to try swing the needle back against City and distract from the absolute mess that FFP/PSR has become.

Which is more or less what a number of posters on this thread have been saying from Day One.

Which begs the question, if an allegedly Big Serious journalist spots the Big Serious hole in the middle of the PL's case, why hasn't he written a Big Serious article about it somewhere?

The only answer that seems even vaguely plausible is that there's no advantage in it for him. Maybe that's as simple as 'no clicks in in pro-City article' or maybe it's more a question of 'Any article that pisses off the Red tops and you can kiss goodbye to your juicy clickbait exclusive interviews'

Either way, it tells you all you need to know about the state of sports journalism.

Andy Burnham as an Everton supporter has his fingers all over this and he has too much time on his hands clearly he hasn’t much do do with his day job.

I think it was Damien Green who asked a very much loaded question trying to infer that City weren’t being treated the same way as Forest and Everton ( all trod very carefully re our potential charges )

Masters response was along the lines big clubs were treated the same as small clubs. He actually didn’t mention Forest or Everton by name.

I personally think that Everton supporters have wound themselves up and must have become infected by some sort of victim mentality.

Speaking to Spurs fans yesterday was a good reality check that we should all take comfort from. We are fed red media bullshit and forced to listen to ignorant rags and the odd scouser (we quote their shite too often in here).
Each Spurs fan said how bitter rags and scousers are. “Pure jealousy” and that our club is an example of how a club should be run. We don’t overpay etc.
This backs up my experiences of other club’s fans and what others have said on here. Most football fans know and see the tiresome rags for what they are. Also said that they couldn’t sit and have a rational conversation with them. Delusional and arrogant.
They just have too much of a mouth in our lives and in the media. They really better off ignored. You should sleep happy in our glorious halcyon days.
Btw respect to Spurs fans they are generally not a reflection of their chairman.
