Could perhaps extend the Radcliffe route if demand is there but there’s also decent rail services from Bolton and Wigan to Manchester.Yep does seem very strange if they're willing to come all the way from Macclesfield you think they'd want to service areas like Bolton, Westhoughton, Wigan, Leigh, Atherton etc...also odd not seeing Warrington on there.
And I hope the driver realises the destination's changed for the matchday buses...

Doesn’t start till the Chelsea gameDid anyone get the Macclesfield bus today?
All bus fares are a maximum £2 for adults, or £1.70 for a short hop...up to 3 stops... (some kids fares are cheaper depending on the destination) as they are subsidised by the government until at least the end of June 2024. It may be extended. It seems expensive to me. Aren't all bus fares supposed to be £2 in GM now?
I’m not against it and hope it helps people. It’ll be great for the FOCs that can use it for free. All bus fares are a maximum £2 for adults, or £1.70 for a short hop...up to 3 stops... This is a separate thing though I think. It's only on match days so not an everyday route.
I don't know if this is in collaboration with greater Manchester transport but to start this operation from scratch would cost a packet. I've posted a little before this post about costs. I forgot the garage where they will be parked, maintained, refuelled, cleaned, repaired and checked. Buses sometimes break down, drivers get ill, crashes happen, tow trucks have to be on standby, if someone is offering you a return ticket for £6 or £8 close to your home I'd say its a pretty good deal. Whereas if you have to walk a fair bit and get 2 buses for £4 it might suit you if you like exercise. Surely it's worth a trial anyhow.
When your bus driver arrives in your neck of the woods does he shout "Oldham", then when you leave the boundary does he shout "Let em go"?Nothing for us Saddleworth folk. Will have to keep the chauffeur on the payroll
A helicopter license is next on my bucket list. About 7 grand apparently. If you have a spare chinook give us a shout...love those things. Many a true word is spoken in jest
I’m sure i read somewhere that a group of blues were chartering a helicopter to Wembley one time, might even have been the rags final, as it worked out about the same price as going down on the train.
Sure...and a £200 rise per season ticket.Absolutely bobbins. The club could afford to fully pay / massively subsidise buses from all 4 compass points for every game. It would mean cooperation with the council and it would cost the club hundreds of thousands but it could be done. But instead we get this half arsed effort.
Thanks. Best laugh for ages.I don't have to use the service though, and I'll moan when i want you happy ****.
Watch out for that low bridge?City reveal it will utilize the new superbus on the Stockport, Heald Green & Offerton routes

Don't all the buses lined up behind the south stand already do that route? So is there a route from Piccadilly Station or am I still walking or ubering?
IIRC they matched the normal service numbers.Yeah I used to get on it outside tommys chippy. Donald pestering us for most of the journey! Haha!
Not sure mate and have never looked into that. I’ve only recently started getting the train (I live a 5 minute walk from Crewe station) after years of driving but parking and getting off has become a pain so decided give the train a go. So with being new to that sort of travel I either walk to the ground or use uber. Would be really handy if there was a bus that went Piccadilly Station way, I don’t know if the metro link passes that way either and haven’t done any research into it or buses for that matter. It just seemed easy to walk or get an uber.Don't all the buses lined up behind the south stand already do that route?
