City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

That's the one problem I see. Allow people to book in advance, and that way it's easier to gauge demand.

Trouble with that is you’d probably have to make it one or the other.

You couldn’t really have people paying cash at the first couple of stops and someone waiting at the next stop with a prepaid ticket and no one knowing if there’s going to be room for them.

Maybe once the trial is over and they’ve had to time to gauge interest, they’ll be able to review that.

Absolutely bobbins. The club could afford to fully pay / massively subsidise buses from all 4 compass points for every game. It would mean cooperation with the council and it would cost the club hundreds of thousands but it could be done. But instead we get this half arsed effort.
Are you being serious?

You expect City to pay travelling expenses for fans!
Nice idea but no other business does that.

Being serious though, the addresses of match going fans will be spread far and wide, even across Grtr Mcr.
You want a bus running from every City fans house?

I checked the bus that calls in Timperley, Timperley may appear to be a small village to those that don't know the area but it covers a huge area. For example, the Metrolink station is about a mile or more from the village centre, so where would you say the bus actually pick up?

It's something that will benefit some, if no good for you then don't worry about it.

I hope it's a success but I would really like them to put a Railway station in behind Tesla!

Only 2 stops in north Manchester at all, and normal bus services are far worse than the south side.
For this purpose North Manchester would refer to North ‘Greater’ Manchester and include Radcliffe, Middleton, Blackley, Abraham Moss, Shaw, Oldham, Royton, Chadderton, Hollinwood, Broadway and Failsworth

Think you misunderstood me. I’d love it to be a success. It’s an admirable idea. But let’s be straight, we’re a first class team with a tenth rate infrastructure - it’s a fucking nightmare getting to and from the ground and has been since we moved from Maine Rd. as a club we could, and should have spent millions on developing a high speed transport system to and from the ground. It would necessitate local government involvement but ££££ talks.
