Not according to everything I have been reading for the last couple of years. We finished a cruise in Liverpool last year but were unable to get on the dock and finished waiting across the water in Birkenhead the captain even announced that the stadium opposite was Everton's new one called Bramley Moor. I will apologise for my indiscretion.

No worries, the Dock is called that but I very much doubt the stadium will be called that. Even Everton aren't that stupid to name it after a slave trader or family. Mind you nothing they did would surprise me at the moment.

When I was a student 50 years ago I did an elective in Philosophy and one of the things we were taught was the 'unity of opposites', which suggested that paradoxes like the one you describe have, at least, some value in that such contradicting positions can work together to enable 'critical thinking'.

Not that I see much evidence of 'critical thinking' among the tribal barmpots who infest the tv/print/social media!

It's taken them ages to wake up to what we've all been saying on here for the past decade about the likely impacts of FFP as applied by UEFA and the PL.. serves the tribal f**kers right.. and as the old saying goes, prophets are always without honour in their own land!
 
I never used to mind Everton, even though going to Goodison in the 80s was always dodgy.
They were the only club with worse neighbours than ourselves.
Now they can fuck themselves, I hope they go down and don't come back up for a long time

And finally, just to fuck celebrity fanboy Burnham off, you're the major of Greater Manchester, you've never once made any kind of statement in support of a club in the area you represent, a club that has pumped millions into an area of Manchester that was a wasteland, a club that has been targeted with racist, negative nonsense and lies for years, and if only to see that champagne socialist suffer, them going down would bring a smile to my face.

My feelings entirely. I feel slightly guilty saying this as there are some decent Everton posters here and I am still friends with some Everton lads I worked with on the ships. I just don't get how they've suddenly turned on us and somehow them failing ffp, which we also oppose, is our fault. Any sympathy anybody has for them will soon disappear if you go on Twitter ( X ) and see the hatred and bile aimed at our club and fans. Fuck them, they have proved themselves equally as vile as their hysterical red shite neighbours. Hopefully they get deducted more points, get relegated and take their anti football and prehistoric manager with them.

Once a scouser always a scouser they are all the same fuck this love in with them don’t get this it was bad in the 70s and 80 s shit they are worse than Liverpool away as we all saw in the League Cup semi finals the other year and once again yesterday especially SSL3.
