So we toss it off yet in your next post, you ask if there's any replays.
You clearly haven't got a clue if you don't know the rules
There was last round, who knows what the rules are these days ?

Luton aint going to go full strength for this, premership survival is main aim for them, especially the manager who will get some amount of praise and enhanced reputation if they do. Unlikely a cup run that may most likely will come to nothing is a priority.

I thought that at first and then thought better of it. Which club near the bottom of the table wouldn't want to get our scalp, at their own place, a small, tight, hostile ground which will be rocking? Furthermore, I've always said this — success breeds success, and the feelgood factor of beating us would filter over in their league games, I reckon. Don't expect them to do anything other than tear into this.
However, this could be our best chance of silverware. I equally wouldn't expect the team and Pep to do anything other than take this tie completely seriously. We should have enough. I'd like Jack back for this. And Kova and Bernardo (or Johnny) perhaps in midfield as DMs.

And have had 10 days rest we would of had about 72 hours
And Tuesday's cup tie will be the tenth game we'll have had in 45 days since resuming after the post-Christmas 'break' up at Newcastle. And further, with six of those ten away from home to make things more difficult. And further still, we have the smallest squad in terms of 'seasoned players' of all the clubs we are vying with for trophies.

I wish some of our fellow Blues would remember the above when criticising our lads, especially on the 'Match Day' forum (mind, most of those posting negative stuff on there are WUMs from the Red Shirt cabal.. and I just wish they'd clear off and do something useful, as Dylan advised when responding to the 'Judas!' catcall at the Free Trade Hall, 'Why don't you go home and read a book?'..)

Can't see many goals there mate.
No, then again we ain't scoring many at the moment. It's strong at the back though.

To me, for this game, it's more important to get some squad members minutes.
We need the whole squad fit and on form for the run in.

That team should be good enough to win imo.

Thank fuck I’m there on Tuesday and won’t have to listen to how much our bench cost every time a sub comes on
What annoys me is the figure they quote is what they are worth if we sold them and not how much we payed for them which is the more relevant , guess they want it to sound as bad as possible . They dont do it with rags snd dipper teams, just us

Not totally against your opinion LA/just think that success breeds success.Strongest side out, give Luton a stuffing, big players off, squad players on.The more you win,the more you win.

lets practice offensive set pieces, headers. we often wait for the cross land on our tall players' head rather than attack the space it lands.

could see this being a real second string side, maybe even some academy players:

Something like:

ortega
Walker Ake, Akanji, Gomez
Nunes, Kovacic, Lewis
Bobb, Alvarez, Doku

This Cup tie scares me, Not for facing Luton but because the Match officials will be all over us, They will be after giving Rodri a red card or Foden Or Haaland because we know what game is up next in the premier league don't we? Take our best player (Rodri) away from the midfield or Haaland goals from the team and they will fancy beating us.

Right Now I would take one of the 3 trophies on offer and go balls deep, If that is the FA Cup then Ok, Same with the Premier League, But I have this feeling the Champions League final at Wembley is our number one aim and we will go BALLS DEEP IN THAT
If you could guarantee that scenario, we lose the league and fa cup but retain the Champions League, I'd turn it down. Fuck em, there's no better team in this country.

I agree.

But given that there are nearly 5 days between this game and United, we might see a slightly stronger team.

Subs against Bournemouth said to me that Pep's going strong.

Ortega
Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake
Rodri
De Bruyne, Foden
Bernardo, Haaland, Doku

I personally would like to go full strength. Get into the quarters. Bird in the hand. We don't play again then til Sunday against minor opposition.
