Yeah. River running looks great on instagram, but in reality....^^ that.
Always wear shades if I'm running in warm weather in those parts.
That 10% rule of thumb is for weekly mileage, I would go with how you feel yourself, there's so many so called rules and whatnot it's hard to keep upDid someone mention increasing distance of around 10% per week?
Currently running back up to 11k mid week but want to start pushing back up to 15k soon (and then half marathon).
Pretty much all of the "runners" on Instagram are knobheads, I seem to be constantly getting different ones saying how they are tired as they are up at 4am for a run..... well go to bed earlier then you ****.Yeah. River running looks great on instagram, but in reality....^^ that.

Unfortunately it's the world we live in mate, the me me me generation have normalised themselves, there's a guy called Gary House on insta that rips the piss out them, he's about the only one worth taking seriously. There was a woman running Isabel Trail Parkrun with a selfie stick a few months ago, constantly taking photos of herself as she ran. I just don't get why some people are so narcissistic and self obsessed. Very weird behaviour!

One of your southern mates "fordy" was at the Wrexham half on Sunday, decked head to toe in "Fordy runs" gear and his selfie stick, I will give him some credit though as he actually does get people involved with his club etc and does do helpful stuffchrist that is embarrassing

Baseline Mileage: A Better Way to Boost Weekly Running Mileage - Strength Running
Weekly running mileage is one of the most valuable metrics for runners to track. But how can you increase running mileage safely and strategically?strengthrunning.com
Since Last September? Were they on the Little Mix talent show?Nice one TCP, do you feel any different at all from being off the beer? Not that I like to brag(on mondays) but I have been off it since last September, can't say I feel any different, but I don't miss the 3 day hangovers.
Maybe stay off the treadmill with that kind of niggle, pounding that hamster wheel can't be good, maybe try some calf sleeves to take a bit of strain of your lower legs?Ran 5km on the treadmill yesterday, felt fine but the inside of my lower tibia is tender, not sure if it's shin splints but I think it might be. Bit worrying with Manchester Marathon on the horizon.
Trying to take it easy but the urge to run is getting to me.
