F1 2024 season

Not the new drivers Hamilton not as blatant
You're kidding right? Alonso, Massa, Webber, Rosberg, Vettel, Raikonnen, Russell and Verstappen might want to have words with you.

Interesting race this so far - not too much drama but it's pretty tense.

Magnussen doing Hulkenberg a solid here.

Fascinated to see how Norris' race shakes out towards the end.

It's early days in the season but it could shape up to be more interesting in the rest of the pack.

Red Bull aren't being challenged right now, unless they start having reliability issues.

Yes agree am talking about the drivers now!
Fair enough. But you didn't say that in the post I replied to. And I think there's one or two around at the moment who would do whatever it takes to get the job done. Not that we're likely to find out; MV is so far ahead of everyone that no one will get near enough to him to benefit from any dirty tricks.

I said I'd give the F1 a fair shake and watch the first few races to see if things has improved from last season.

Well... It's even worse than last year.

I think I'm just going to reduce my viewing down to the 'classic' events.

- Suzuka
- Monaco Qualy (not the race)
- Silverstone
- Spa
- Monza
- Interlagos

Indycar starts tomorrow and there's the Sebring 12 hours next Saturday to look forward to. Thank goodness there's racing outside of F1.

So when has Verstappen been taking out in since he has been the top dog
Has he needed to? But you're deluding yourself if you think he's the only one who has used such tactics.

I have said I agree it happens but not since Verstappen has started being too dog..
That's the same that can be said for all the drivers I mentioned. Max is no different.

How can redbull be so far ahead of the other cars it's baffling don't thing I've seen a bigger gap?!
Hmm; not sure about that. The Mercs five or six years ago were similarly miles ahead (almost literally) of everyone else. It seems to be a cyclical sport. There were times when Ferrari, McLaren, even Williams and Jordan were top dogs. It's RB's turn now.

Oh yeah get it's RB turn now was Hamilton this dominant or people saying now that verstappen looks like will win every race he is in

See, you guys get it... and I loved Senna.
Look; I understand the hatred for MV. The way he won his first title, depriving a British driver, was always likely to rub Hamilton fans up the wrong way. Perfectly understandable. Also; he does come across as arrogant, and not easy to like. But as far as I know (which isn't very far), he, or Horner, didn't write that rule about the safety car on that night at the Yas Marina circuit in 2021. Would Mercedes have done the same if the roles were reversed? Of course they would. And even if Hamilton had held on, and clinched the title, it was only likely to delay the inevitable by a year. MV has pretty much sleepwalked to the next two championships.
