F1 2024 season

It might surprise some people in fluffyland that this isn't uncommon.

My last GM pushed everybody very hard for results, and fuck me she got those results.

She's not there now and the company is a shadow of its former self, with probably not even a tenth of the workforce it had when she was there.

I suspect Horner is the same and some snowflakes don't like it. He's there to do a job, he's paid to do a job and he's expected to do a job...........it's not a personality contest!!!
So what you're saying is Horner is a ****?

That **** has already won his next constructors title and possibly the next. Unless the rumours of Newey is joing Ferrari with Lewis.

I am yes - a close friend ( my best man ) worked at Penske Racing in the 90's and is now in Red Bull and he says Horner is widely viewed by the workforce as a dislikeable **** who aside from being a face for the press contributes little other than internal bile and criticism

I've no doubt he's probably an obnoxious shit to work for, but his job is to get results in a highly competitive, multi-million dollar business and he does just that
. Results are the only thing that count.
I would say there are some that are made accountable for their work and resent it.

Like my previous GM, who could be equally obnoxious, some have different approaches than others towards management. As an employee, if we didn't get results, then we were accountable (imagine that!!) and I suspect Horner is in the same mould. Some can't handle that and then the whimpering starts. They employ quite a few people, so there will always be one or two snowflakes unable to handle criticism.

I've never worked for Red Bull Racing, but I can't believe for one moment that he 'contributes little', that would be just a little naive........although if you suck up to that narrative, go right ahead.

Not doubting what you say about him for a second but his and red bulls records speak for themselves.

The best F1 bosses are cnuts, they have to be with the ego's around the teams.

Ron Dennis was an utter cnut of a man but his record at McLaren was incredible but as soon as the success dried up he was out because of the general hatred of him from the workforce.
