Does anyone else feel like this?

Looking at their phone pictures looks like they were at the swamp yesterday and seem to have visited many grounds. Think they were African. But the point is, if they enjoy watching PL football go in the home end. Being able to but limited away end tickets is a piss take. You wouldn’t go to watch Rangers away at Aberdeen and wear a Celtic hat.
I agree. I watched Valencia v Barca and Benfica v Spartak. Sat with the home fans and cheered on the home side both times.
You couldn't pay me to watch the scum v dippers.

Just leaving anfield now feel rather deflated not with the football but with what I am now witnessing and have been for a while people I know who have followed city for years couldn’t get a ticket today yet I witnessed empty seats
Probably because these football sites couldn’t sell them on at inflated prices, tourists taking selfies all game which will only get worse and police treating us as scum. 1973 was my first game and I think this season will be my last can’t stomach it anymore it’s becoming a piss take now, I will always love the club but it’s becoming less attractive every week anybody who knows me knows I travel extensively all over Europe and England but I think my time’s coming soon to watch on the Firestick with a brew and sandwiches anyone else feel the same
Im just home. Can honestly say where i was stood there was no tourists. And i saw plenty of lads from over the years

As regards to empty seats , we were crammed in , say 5 people to 3/4 seats, so there has to be a give somewhere.

its crazy to say these last few glorious years may have knackered a few out, i kinda feel the same. Supporting city can be mentally full on. I do look forward to season ending and having a break from it.

It took us 45 mins to get away from where we park today, and an hour and a half just to get on the m62. For that reason im probs done with away games now.

Doesn't bother me at all that we have lots of tourists at our games. I observed a few the other night at the Copenhagen game and it made me smile watching them giving it some with their enthusiastic support..... Chinese supporters with club shop bags, first timers giving it the biggun at their first Champions League game, families coming to watch the best team in the world....why not?
Bang on mate, we are now a 'super club' may it continue

There’s a top tier tour site in Twitter and it’s followed by the official club page . Very fishy
There are tickets for aways available on livefootbatickets before they even go to ST holders, either the club are defo siphoning them off or ST holders are giving very strong promises that they’ll get one to sell

Nailed it my friend. Missed out on so many aways this year, compared to previous and I've attended 95% of aways for decades. Only made 5 aways this year, but not high demand as either bog standard opposition or midweek. To be fair, we've been treated like shit for years by the old bill, so that's a given. The only thing that's kept me going is the craic, the old faces, the regulars that identify us as Blue brothers.

Home games look after themselves for me. Friends for life in our little patch around 117 aisle. It will take a cold day in hell for me to give that up, but I've even questioned that recently as the I-pads come out and half n halfers appear in and around us.

The tipping point is around the corner, and if regular Joe's like me and you are thinking this way, then it's looking grim for the future mate.

Having said all that, once you've got out of that shithole and showered off the miseryside filth, you'll probably feel better about things. That place does strange things to Mancunians.

Up the fucking Blues.
Hell will freeze over when you stop going, I know the time and effort you have put in over many years to make sure your fellow blues could attend games, especially when we were shit! Keep going and I will make sure I am wearing my favorite (Val) jumper for you to take the piss out of.

That saddens me to the core Blue, keep going pal. Lifelong PROPER Blue

It doesn’t bother you that people who aren’t city fans (literal fans of the opposition) are getting tickets in large numbers to the biggest away games, yet people who have the required points can’t get any tickets?

Not sure if you have heard of FFP? Making money is quite important if you want to compete at the top.
Funnily enough I’ve never heard of FFP. FFP must be the reason why the club are giving huge amounts of tickets to agency sites then. I suppose if we stopped doing it we wouldn’t compete at the top..

I mean we did win pretty much every trophy when this didn’t happen as much, but I guess your right

So what is happening ? Club selling them? staff selling them? Supporters clubs? Someone is.
Did a few pubs with the son in law (who was ticketless) in the city centre before the game, ended up at the bierkeller, and left an hour before KO to get an Uber. Noticed two guys with City gear on & said jump in fellas, turns out they were Americans (nice guys) and had a spare! When I asked them where they bought em, they said on the club website

International PL, & specific club, tourism is growing and only going to get bigger.

Recently returned from South Africa where there is a growing interest in City and football.

Without exception, those that I talked to wanted to come and watch a City game and take in another game or two if possible.

Tourism/Hospitality/Credit Card businesses have always got access to 'premium' events for those prepared to pay and probably have multiple sources of supply.

The club may have little control or influence over who, or how, they obtain them.

Very frustrating, but the result of supply and demand.

Wait until the CL final at Wembley in June....oh my days !!
