Hearing in Autumn, judgement in early summer 2025 and probably summer 2026 to have a final verdict after any appeals by either party.

That doesn't sound like the PL case collapsing soon to me :(

Sounds like they want this dragged out more for optics than facts. This is moving at a snails pace.

Anything that CFG pay on behalf of City is charged to City’s accounts, eg coaches salaries, bribes to CAS.

From a city ffp perspective an 80k with closing roof would be better as the revenue for concerts , boxing etc would 100 per cent go to the club. The co op arena will be discounted from our income ffp as none of the cartel clubs have a share in an arena but many of them hold events in their stadia.

With an 80000 capacity stadium, smaller concerts could be in Coop Live, with the larger ones being held in the stadium.

It still rankles me that a political decision in favour of London over Manchester technically still affects us.

Imagine if we had an extra 20000 capacity, with those tickets being affordable & aimed at the low waged & young? This would have a huge effect on our gate receipts revenue in respect to FFP, with even more revenue being brought in from the resultant hospitality.

I recall a discussion about this on BM, with one poster saying Westminster's decision permanently limited us to a 62000 maximum capacity because of the redesign, but another poster claimed all the additional pilings & infrastructure were built anyway, meaning we could in fact add the additional seats (taking the capacity to 80000), with the retractable roof at a later date.

I can't remember what the end conclusion was, or even if there was one. Perhaps someone could chip in to confirm either way? )(

Makes sense when you consider the open and shut case of Everton took so long. It's a hugely complex case being fought hard by both parties. So no early resolution in our favour seemingly.

People often say in what other line of business is regulated to stop investment. The more I open my eyes we realise regulation & lobbying & lawyers are used in every part of life to control competition.

I don't think it was ever in any danger of collapsing before the hearing, no matter how weak the PL's case against us turns out to be. That was just wishful thinking on the part of some fans. And it's not necessarily a bad thing this - if we clear our name after going through the whole process then that will raise less questions (although there would still be some from the usual suspects) than if it had suddenly collapsed.

Just a thought, is it possible that some of the charges may already have fallen away and what's left is only some of the lesser ones? That would explain the flurry of confidence/good vibes from multiple sources a few weeks ago. Maybe wishful thinking on my part!

It is unbelievable. The Mancini allegations date back to 2009 and involve a small amount of money three years before FFP started. This has always been a witchunt.

The legal teams of both parties are actively involved on a day to day basis. The panel will be asking for further information from both sides regarding all aspects of the case so they know exactly what is looking strong or not for them. Both the club and the PL again will be briefed constantly by their legal teams as to how the case is looking from their perspective.

You'd hope and expect that the confidence the club has is based on the views of Lord Pannick and his team on how it's looking in real time.
