Tends to be aligned with the end of the season, so May or June year ends. Transfer window opens on July 1st.Surely the accounting period has to line up with the end of the transfer window.
Would it make more sense for clubs to have year ends at the end of August, so they incorporate the busiest market?Tends to be aligned with the end of the season, so May or June year ends. Transfer window opens on July 1st.
That's the idea, if the punishment is open-ended then you can twist it whichever way you want. It's all targeted towards usPlease correct me, but wasn't evertons the same charge and they initially got 10 reduced to 6. Why 4 for Forest? They really needed to construct a framework for the punishments before introducing this. It just seems to arbitrary.
Are you not forgetting why all this bollocks was introduced in the first place.I'm finding all this points docked etc abit depressing really. Let owners invest what they want and allow fans to live the dream
You’re seriously posting on a thread started because Forest have just had four points deducted that it’s all targeted towards us?That's the idea, if the punishment is open-ended then you can twist it whichever way you want. It's all targeted towards us
Everton were charged on 9 counts and they were a PL club for all three years as wellPlease correct me, but wasn't evertons the same charge and they initially got 10 reduced to 6. Why 4 for Forest? Yes.You’re seriously posting on a thread started because Forest have just had four points deducted that it’s all targeted towards us?
So given it’s ‘all targeted at us’, was the reduction in Everton’s points deduction also targeted at us, and if so, how?Yes.
Dishing out punishments to others before coming for us, that way the fans of other teams would be angry at them for not coming at us and when they eventually come at us with something silly, if/when we try to fight it, then fans and management of other teams would say "well, what about us? We took it, so what makes you think you shouldn't take it?". The bigger picture is that ALL of these stupidity is the build up to them coming at us with some silly OTT punishment.
We haven’t been accused of failing FFP, so it’s nothing to do with Everton or Forest’s decisions.Yes.

That's the point, they never really intended to punish those other team, it's similar to the creation of the FFP, use a few teams as cannon fodder just so you can get the actual target. So given it’s ‘all targeted at us’, was the reduction in Everton’s points deduction also targeted at us, and if so, how?
Didn’t they say 6 points were the ‘minimum’ reduction for financial breaches ?Really is making a mockery of the league. 4 points off for you, 10 for you...oh wait lets make that 6. Fucking shambles of an organization. But now we have appeals. No one knows where they stand and this is huge for those clubs down there.
I have no idea but it wouldnt surprise me in the least. ShamblesDidn’t they say 6 points were the ‘minimum’ reduction for financial breaches ?
