PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I want it to be all in or nothing. We are either guilty and receive the punishment that goes with that or we are cleared completely and can finally move on.
We take a fine or a point and the cheat accusations stay with us forever.
That's just not going to happen. If City were completely exonerated, the PL would lose face to an extent hardly imaginable. And in any case, even if City were exonerated, do you suppose for one minute that among the common-or-garden supporter fanbase in England (which is at least partly pig ignorant and wallows in its ignorance like a pig in mud), there wouldn't still be mutterings, for ever and a day, about how City oiled (yes, deliberate choice of word) their way out of it with their hotshot legal team.
The mere fact of having been accused is enough to fuel the resentment for ever. Personally, I can live with that. Water off a duck's back. Fuck em.

I said that’s what I want. There’s lots of things I want that I know will never happen but I crack on regardless. :-)

Originally maybe, but as time has passed no.
The more I hear and see the more I believe it’s a witch-hunt.
I’ve gone from being slightly worried to finding the whole thing funny.
The way we’re being reported on, the way other fans are obsessed with us.
Add to that the fact that some fans are finally waking up to what ffp/psr is all about and now crying about it.
I love reading all the comments and seeing piss being boiled on an industrial scale.
A few of my current favourites..
“Small club”
“They’ll get away with it cos the PL won’t punish one of the big boys”
Hmmmmmm : )
“The PL is corrupt”
Never enters their small minds that the corruption just maybe again us.
I’m just enjoying the ride.
All part of being a City fan.
I made it through relegation,Stuart Pearce and the day we ran out of chips so I’m sure I’ll be alright.
I didn't need time to pass to know it was a witchhunt.

What we need to do is get ourselves i the worst lawyers out there to satisfy the masses that we didn't buy our way 'out of it' whatever that means. Like you say fuck em.

Great post. Seeing as you metioned the rich owners of Stoke and Newcastle I would like to throw in a curveball. What if a similarly rich owner says whats the point of spending millions on my Club if I can never get any glory for our supporters, if all the rules favour the red tops and Spurs, who have a stranglehold on the rule makers. So I am winding the club up as I see no point in continuing to fund a hopeless sporting case. The opposite of saving Bury, Macclesfield, Portsmouth and the Readings of the sporting pyramid that the rules are supposed to help, which we all know is double speak for protecting the money for the red tops and Spurs.
Good question. I don't think they will do that as they will want to protect their asset. More likely is they will get frustrated with the strait jacket that is ffp or PSR and sell up and invest their filthy lucre somewhere else.

Nick Harris. Seriously, that twister of words. I imagine what @Prestwich_Blue meant, if he did indeed say that, was that the Etihad sponsorship money came from two sources: Etihad's marketing budget and the majority from central funds. It's all explained in the CAS award.

Take a few deep breaths and relax.
That's exactly what I meant. I was aware of that well before the Der Spiegel articles and that the source of the revenue was from central Abu Dhabi funds. Unlike the person who likes to be described as "an investigative journalist" or "football finance expert".

Rangers were almost destroyed by this kind of kangaroo court full of haters, ten years later it was deemed a malicious prosecution but the damage to the club finances and playing squad were enormous
Absolute bollocks. Rangers not only were paying players through 2 separate accounts, but they also went bust and were liquidated. It is not the same thing

I wonder how much football money is being spent by the league to investigate and prosecute clubs for spending their own money.

Who needs youth development, infrastructure, cheaper tickets etc.

Predictably the 2nd comment on the hys section is "What about Manchester City"
It genuinely astonishes me the stupidity of some football fans (no offence to all of us). Fans now managing to simultaneously think these rules are nonsense but at the same time wanting us thrown out of the league requires mental gymnastics that I can’t comprehend
