PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Some guy posted a month or so ago (apologies if it was you, I can't remember who it was) something that went through each of the (groups of) allegations and came to the conclusion that there would be no proof of any of them.

I didn't agree with some of his thought processes and I found it hard to believe we would be fine on everything, but I am increasingly coming to the conclusion that his final assessment was right.

I just don't see how the PL can realistically prove any of (what we assume to be) the allegations with (what we assume to be) the evidence available to them. Including non-cooperation.

Anyone else?

To…trap City.

I’m with you man, nothing will happen. The rules are crap and made up nonsense.

The only thing that scares me is the possibility that ‘the charges’ are just part of a wider pre-decided stitch up. I don’t think the PL has any real evidence

It is a tricky one for the PL. If they investigate Chelsea's historic issues, on top of ours, it really raises questions over how poor their review process is.

Ok, you could maybe argue that we cooked the books and they missed it because it was concealed fraud (assuming you are Jamie Carragher).

But if Chelsea did it too, without their noticing, then pretty much anyone else might hsve been too and their process wouldn't have flagged it.
Ive always said if we are guilty of anything then I'm pretty sure almost every club has done the same and part of the delay is the PL to allow these clubs to cover their tracks

Chelsea investigation should not take years given its the new owners found and admitted to some of the wrongdoing. there could be more under the carpet they did not bring forward and that may need some further investigation, let alone the current parallel PSR breaches...

I bet originally they brought in PSR rules to single out City and punish us, but now they face the situation of going after other clubs too and penny is starting to drop.
even in mainstream media some noises like "so these rules are not stopping City but resulting points deduction for other clubs, then whats the point this isnt what we hoped this is"
the mask is slipping...

and the rotten face of Masters starts to show with a look of an urgent diarrhea.

Unless there is new and damning evidence, based on the CAS findings, there is no case to answer. The UEFA investigation was a sham with the clear aim to damage City and the Premier League are trying to do the same. We've gatecrashed the party, shown them how to do things properly and they don't like it. Just hope the Independent Commission are truly independent.

To click the link.....or not.......this 365 lot love us.

With Stockport topping league 2 we could have derby games next season in league 1 if they get promotion. Time for revenge,-)
Stockports owner is a blue and looking a good owner with the redevelopment plans. Not only do we teach players well we teach the good owners as well.
Problem is that 365 site is a clickbait site for red tops, spuds and other brain dead football supporters.

They're not independent. What verdict do you come up with if your job depends on you saying guilty? Just be prepared for relegation punishment, absolute uproar followed by a public hearing of some kind via new government administrators.

The Chelsea investigation by the PL could be very lengthy indeed as in addition to the issues flagged by the new owners, the Guardian has been running with very detailed information regarding illegal payments to club employees, players and agents by Abramovich.

It's essentially a mirror of what we've been charged with but with actual potential evidence.

So you think we will be relegated but clear our name via some uproar and public hearing ? What uproar we are hated everyone wants us gone

Their job doesn't depend upon saying guilty They are Kings Council barristers who will not be short of work, in fact one of the reasons for the "delay" in the commission sitting is aligning the diaries of the KC involved
