Starting to concern me, this lad is a game changer and yet remains on the bench.

He won’t play next season either, as we’ll sign at least 1 winger and perhaps 2 midfielders. Him signing a new contract means he’ll hopefully get a loan. He needs one next season as he is not going to play here.

Maybe a bit quiet in the second half, but I thought he was arguably our best player in the first. He's got some real meddle to him defensively, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays a bigger role than some expect in the coming months.

Best attacking threat first half. The movement between him and rico was great to see, very intelligent lad that can see and execute the third pass others can't. Faded out of thr game second half was we played almost exclusively down our left, not his fault. Can be very pleased with his performance, he's here to stay.

As said in the match thread, like him a lot but he’s not going to make it as a winger when he makes Antony look two footed.

Several times he blew good openings as his instinct is to run around the ball to get it into his left foot.

We’ll see. He’s a kid and yet he’s already featuring in the best club team in the world and playing for his country. That gives him the benefit of any doubts for the next 2-3 seasons.

Whilst I think there's a valid point to be made about him being reluctant to use his weak foot, I think you've gone way overboard with how much you think it will hamper him.

He's no more one-footed than some of our other players who play in a similar role like foden, grealish and bernardo. There's probably only Doku that will willingly use his other foot.

thought he looked decent,and hes playing as a winger now, as for the anthony comment, not sure anything he did warrants comparison with him, another decent game as he finds his feet/comes of age in the champions of england and europe, see a big future for him

Well you believe Haaland is unfit despite him playing 90 minutes almost every game for two months so what do we know.

This is just demonstratively false.

The vast majority of the best wingers (current and former) were one-footed, some of them extremely so. Many can only use their non-dominant foot to put in a decent cross (and some of the best that ever played the game weren’t even particularly good at that with their weaker foot).

In fact, there are very few truly two-footed wingers at the top level.

We have just been fortunate to have a few that were decent with their non-dominate foot over the last few years. Which makes sense giving our level and draw under Pep.

Even in our current side we have only one true winger that is comfortable even using his non-dominant foot (Doku), and he still heavily favours his dominant foot when playing.

Foden and Kev are probably our only players that could be legitimately thought of as two-footed and they are literally two of the best players in the world and I wouldn’t classify either as true wingers, even if they have played a decent number of minutes there at various period of their careers.

Actually two-footed players tend to migrate to central roles (as Kev did and now Phil is), primarily because that is where they can have the most complete impact on play: they can shoot with either boot from either side of the box, effectively pass to either wing regardless of the position of the ball to them, and can move to either wing to cross or pass or shoot, as needed.

Bobb is playing as winger for both the best club in football (for the best, most demanding manager in the world) and his national side, which is pretty competitive. He wouldn’t be doing that if his one-footedness was actually a catastrophic weakness.

And he’s 20 years old. He is still developing and improving his play with his weak foot.

Your statement just makes very little sense under even a minimal amount of scrutiny.

One of our best players in Foden is extremely one-footed.
