It's another joke of a rule that's clearly designed to hamstring teams that aren't in the old 'top 4' that already just happen to have the biggest stadiums etc, complete coincidence that they don't want anyone else building a big stadium so they can earn more matchday revenue...

In effect, I see no other way of interpreting it.

Because they're likely to appeal. It's messy enough as it is, but imagine if they get relegated by a point. The 2 points is likely to be reduced to 1 on appeal. The other team thinking they're safe and find out after the season has finished that they're actually relegated. Needs finalising before the start of next season as two sides can't start the season without knowing which division they're in.
It needs finalising before the end of this.

What’s the Ukraine war got to do with owt?

I just thought that when they read the statement

We had to cut all ties with Usmanov and USM sponsorship which cost us ££. Plus we had a stadium naming rights deal lined up too which got shelved, as the deal wasnt in writing it didnt count.

The PL and first commission said we basivally should have planned for a potential war apparently. This IC disagreed.

After the break, we'll be back with the thrilling conclusion of this years premier league title race. Catch it only here, and live, on Sky Courtroom.

Nobody wants this. Offences aside, what a crappy and unfair way of handling rule breaking. Are they using a tombola to decide the points reductions?

Regardless of who did what, who cheated, who took a punt and lost, who has a billion in debt swept under a carpet in the Cayman Islands, isn't football about the excitement of the match, the hope, the skill? Nowadays it's being decided by some plum in a TV studio with the attention span of a sparrow fart, and seemingly Krusty the clown's accountants.

We're seriously in danger of being able to say "I remember in my day, the league was done on the final day, and nobody could even appeal to be reinstated to the premier league 5 months after they'd been relegated!"

Anyone claiming the PL dont want us to go down dont realise they have asked the commission for a total of 17 points too be took off us (12pts 1st breach and 5pts 2nd breach).

This commission disagrees with the previous one about the claims we should have planned for the Russian invasion. Also says the accusations by the PL in the first hearing are unwarranted, overstated or both
You won't get relegated.

They'll be a legal shit show for the PL if you did.

You got out of it pretty well. The PL is terrified their punishments will send you guys down. They should be thinking that, if you don't go down, the relegated clubs will be asking why the two punishments weren't comparable. And a two point reduction in the sanction because you have been punished once this season? Remarkable.
Should have got no more deduction. Fuck them! Appeal it and let it drag on and on.
