Makes more sense to buy for other positions and let Foden have the role, knowing that we still have KDB to play as and when his body allows him. Players like Paqueta and Neves make more sense. I think Pep wants versatile players that can play multiple positions. Musiala could play in the middle, on the left or on the right if needed. Much like Foden. Would be a great signing.

think the 100m signing is neves personally. Seen rumours kovacic got interest from saudi, and seen that neves agent was at city recently doing eddies new contract but also to increase talks regarding neves.

I think there are two conversations to have and it’s dependant on Pep.

Musiala is the perfect Pep player. A young David Silva type that should be able to play alongside Foden.

If Pep is going at the end of next season, then Wirtz makes more sense.

We need to manage KDB's game time. Several years of playing at the apex of world football, age & injuries are catching up with him.

We need to be bedding in his eventual successor from now, so they can learn from the King.

Happens months before every window. Lost count of the amount of players we MUST sign to stay at the top. E.g. João Felix, Bellingham, Frenkie De Jong, Rafael Leao, Declan Rice, Kounde, Caicedo.

Yet they never arrived and we keep winning...

We won’t be spending £100m on a back up. And why would somebody like Kimmich or Neves come in to be back up?

I imagine we’ve been burnt by Phillips and realise that those happy to sit on the bench for 90% of the season aren’t particularly up to the job. So we either alter Rodri’s position or have a few different formations to allow wiggle room for how we play.

If we buy Paqueta,or anyone else we don't need another CM,we'd have KDB Foden, Paqueta ? Kovacic ,only position that could possibly work is RB /DM.So Kimmich I could see IF Walker goes. Neves,don't see it at all.
