At this stage of the season fitness comes into play, something Pep and his backroom staff have been aware of and have handled really well over several seasons, hence the heavy rotation of players and different starting line ups. Liverpool and Arsenal haven't rotated anywhere near as much and some of their key players are now looking jaded as a consequence of being overplayed. And in Liverpool's case could lead to more injuries, especially as Klopp insists in gut busting all out attacks in games.

The main quality that Pep has instilled into our squad though is a winning mentality and it's something that is proven and will hopefully bode well at this stage of the season towards towards when trophies are won and lost.

I really like the fact that Pep dismisses talk of a double treble when asked and his "one game at a time" reply is the way to approach games coming up.

Radio 5 Lies bemoaning the possibility of us winning the league again this evening. For some reason we never really talk about how much that United team did bottle it in the very real sense of the word that year.

Losing a game against Villa isn't really bottling it. Losing to Wigan, being 4-2 up against Everton but drawing the game, and then going to a rival and not having a shot on target? One of the all time great bottle jobs. Us nearly fucking it on the last day and Aguero's heroics overshadows an absolutely embarrassing penultimate season from old bacon face.
