Honestly we have achieved so much, we have experience so much joy from the squad it's hard for me to get too upset. Disappointed sure. I would say losing the league will hurt more but still fresh off the treble.
 
step too far this season.....we looked tired in the second half let alone extra time.

Absolutely battered Madrid but they defended with all 10 outfield players camped on the edge of their area and they did it well

Doku definitely made a difference when he came on...its what you need against a packed defence.

We werent at our best but we were way better than madrid. Foden Rodri Bernardo KDB all making mistakes and playing below their potential but at the same time still to good for Madrid.

Thought Akanji was excellent in the Stones role - just didnt have the cuteness it the critical moments but it was an excellent performance by him

Need to pick ourselves up - that chelsea game has just got a lot harder as players look absolutely shattered physically and mentally.
 
If you want to be hyper critical, KDB and Foden missed the two biggest chances to put the game to bed but it didn't happen. Let's just vent all the anger and frustration at Chelsea on Saturday.
 
We played so so well, it’s quite unbelievable we have lost this. I’ll never get my head around it. Somehow Madrid manage to do this. We absolutely dominated them for about 110 minutes. Bernies pen was ridiculous, a real momentum shifter in the shoot out after modric miss

We all know Real are the darlings of UEFA. That ain’t changing anytime soon. They will probably win it now.
 
Turned it off as soon as the extra time whistle blew; partly tattered nerves, partly resignation. Never fancy us in a shootout. Just get that fourth consecutive league title won. This season can still be historic.
 
Can't fault anything tonight, played them off the pitch, Bernardo penalty if the keeper dives looks cool, keeper doesn't and it's a shit penalty, bit of rest, get our heads up, F.a cup semi final on Saturday

Story of our season, so wasteful and some were sitters. We have been dreadful at finishing this season.
We should have won that comfortably in the 90 mins with what we created.
Bernies penalty was pathetic, could have put the pressure on them and he let them off the hook.
Sack the set piece coach tonight, absolutely dog shit corners, it’s embarrassing how bad we are from set pieces. You would expect to make the keeper work a few times from the amount we had but as usual ours were a complete joke.
Pep needs less of the technical stuff on the training pitch and do some basics ie finishing.
