What has the UK become?

What a load of bollocks.

I think he is saying risk your kids lives if

You have family in the UK(everyone loves an amazon voucher on their birthday)

You hate strong coffee and cheese

The French are not being very welcoming.

I'm going for option 3 although I still wouldn't risk my kids life for such a reason.

I await the scorn for the French or the mental gymnastics on how us being unwelcoming equals very bad, the French doing it equals silence.

Back to square one. They try I'll give em that.

I see the Tories ‘grift’ has brought the best out of their supporters.

Somebody explained it simply. UK is war torn and you have had to flee. You have family in Australia and stuck in Indonesia with nothing but your few belongings. Do you take the chance to get to Australia?

Not keen on having people drown in the Channel makes you a ’champion’? Very odd thinking.

You big up the asylum system so yes you champion it. That's what championing something means. You brought drowning into it not me.

Are you voting Labour if they keep the Rwanda policy? Yes or No will do.

Well they have just lost the votes of plenty of our asylum champions then. Haven't they ? :-)
Doubt it. But it should serve as a reminder that neither party is above the performative nonsense.

20 years ago we were threatening to stop the boats in the Mediterranean and floating the idea of Madagascar as a processing centre.

Sounds so idyllic in contrast to the Channel and Rwanda ....

You don't have to be a Tory to be worried about who you allow in to the country you should know that Keith.

Chance on Australia

On a dinghy err......... no. With my kids? Err......... no

Plus the accent and spiders

If I've fled a war torn UK I would be much more concerned with thanking the good people of Indonesia rather than thinking of throwing a shrimp on a barbie

23 hours waiting for diagnosis and then a bed for my mate in A&E today. An old ladies with Parkinson's waited 28!

I don't blame the staff, more the system.

The NHS is the perfect example of trickle down economics.

I'm angry with the system. The sooner it changes the better.

Also I need to sleep properly.

Churchill championed the asylum policy...

I was being sarcastic we have a few Labour centrists on here who do nothing but complain about Brexit and the govt being mean to asylum seekers for political gain.
They will obviously vote Labour you though you the Party which will continue with Brexit and will be mean to asylum seekers for political gain.

Hilarious really.
