I think he's been rather quiet so far to be honest.

When they played through him things happened. He is not top 4 quality but would have been a lot more trustworthy than Phillips

Very impressed with him today. Keeping him instead of Phillips would definitely have been a better option.

Phillips signing didn't work out. Personally I don't think he had it in him to make it at City.

But he came in with more experience, International starter etc. If Doyle made one mistake everyone would have been on him just as much as Phillips. Look at the characters we have in the squad Phillips just never had that mentality in my opinion so hoping this guy did also is a huge risk.

I'd imagine you have to figure in the loan fees as well? Wolves would be daft not to sign Tommy if it is an option.

THB is 20m overall including a loan fee with buyback and sell on. He renewed before going out. Can’t complain at that one at all and if Saints don’t go up he’s linked to Ipswich.

Doyle we have 50% sell on as well as they couldn’t bid higher and all done at the same time as Nunes deal.

Think both are brilliant bits of business.

I think it's fair to say that he was always going to be a success at Wolves and the move was a no brainer for all parties. We can only wish him good luck for the rest of his career. Once a blue , always a blue. Good luck Tommy.

sad to see him go due to the familial attachment to our club but its happened before and will happen again - our academy produces some top kids who clearly want a career in the game but you can only ever have 11 players on the park and some inevitably will move on. I wonder if one of those 115 charges is that we are creating quality players for clubs up and down the football pyramid and loaning them out then selling them off at low prices?

Can't be many investments in the world that appreciate like a city youth player!
Cole rightly or wrongly we let go but we all knew he was good so it was a conscious decision.
It's some of the others like Frimpong and to a lesser extent Tommy where they go for low fees suggesting we didn't really rate them that are more questionable to me. Hopefully the new academy director who seems a good bloke can keep on top of this with future players.

I think the fact we have a 50% sell on clause would suggest we think he might be a decent prospect still, of course, nonuse if he stayed at Wolves for 10 years lol

Also, we have a buy back by all accounts no fee mentioned.

It might be mentioned in the initial few posts after his move to wolves in this thread tbh
